Hope you make it!
Me too. 2 majors surgeries including an OPEN heart surgery 1 year ago. Sorry I'm just a cranky old man. i guess I just enjoy putting teams together more than playing them. (As you can see by my poor overall record). Play on!

yeah - building teams is 80% of the fun of it for me - we're all architects/engineers/ General Managers assembling baseball teams. For those of us that love the game so much, it's the kid in us but with the added mental stimulation of the stats & the excitement (and dread, and hours spent lol) of the draft. For me the other 20% is seeing how they do - we can't all win & we can't all win all the time - but it's like playing poker with 16 or 24 people & trying to put together our best poker hand. Cheers, Have Fun, & Good Luck everyone!

i can echo that sentiment. i’m 65 retired i enjoy putting the clubs toghether and looking at the box scores, getting to use players before my time and growing up is part of the thrill.

I had open heart surgery in Nov. 2003, so it's over 16 years ago and I have had no significant heart issues since. I'm also retired (otherwise I wouldn't have the time to run leagues).

Yeah, I'm nipping at your heels, I'll be 69 in September. I've decided that this getting older is not for the timid. Eight years ago I had one doctor, now I have six and everyone of them want me to have tests and scans and MRI's. But I do love this WIS, I'd go mad without it.

I'm 69 as well, just retired a few weeks ago. I'm in good health ovrerall, thank goodness, besides the normal aches and pains. My wife says its a good thing, she is a few years younger. This league will take a little longer, but the research is great fun.

yeah - I'm 47 & still working & am glad we've been off clock so I could put in the time I needed to do thorough position by position "scouting" that I'm comfortable with to flesh out all the potential players available I can live with (usually 50+ hours, lol, maybe more like 100 hours, lol) ...I make word docs of Pitchers & Hitters by position /depth with my own statistical rankings & Just Now feel like I've finally got a good long view analysis of what my strategy/priorities now are going forward...

Looking forward to this League - 3 years at a time is good balance between the one-year-at-a-time slog & the 7-year Itch that some of us are in - I think 3 years at a time will provide constant good drafts to look forward to & still keep that progressive build for right now & tomorrow balance. Eman - if you catch this - I was "toddleduc" on here for 10+ years before I took a hiatus in 2016 - we need to bring back a Free Agency League - with bidding over a couple of weeks & 5 year maximum contracts? that was one of the most realistic fun Draft/Bid play leagues I was ever in
For crying out loud ....now I know where that “little duc” toddled off to.....Cheers Mate!

Cheers to you, too, Boddicker ! And any & all of you I may have played with before... , the wife & I kind of split suddenly in June of 2016 - left her the laptop & had to take a hiatus - keeping up with 12 or so progressives was too overwhelming at the time. Came back on in the fall of 2018 & just figured I'd start over with a new name... it's good to be back in the dugout & club house trenches :))
