No changes will be made about the 19-20 players. I made it clear in the sitemail I sent at the start of the draft - Draft at your own risk! I'm certainly not going to make a change now that the draft has started. I'm not interested in putting a deadline on it either. The draft will end when the draft ends.
The last two rounds will be on a clock. So the draft will officially end either when ysw128 makes his final pick or 30 mins after his time slot. If the players aren't released by then, they can't be used. Period.
I could care less about owners having to deal with the stress of knowing if they can use the 19-20 season for their teams or not. That's something you'll have to plan around. If you don't want to risk it, don't draft players whose 19-20 seasons you're counting on. This is the savage way.
The main problem you guys brought up, and rightfully so, is owners stalling. As competitive as we all are here, I think we are more than capable of policing ourselves here. If someone is constantly late for their picks, it's gonna be obvious and called out. albiband0 was a few hours late today and people were calling for him to be replaced already! Jcred is literally tracking pick times haha. Could it lead to problems? Maybe. But this is a pretty tight knit community we have here. You try to pull a fast one on this group and you'll probably be blackballed from other theme leagues.
I'm sorry if you disagree with my decision. I thought it would add an extra layer of savagery for this season. I really wanted the 19-20 players to be a part of this season if possible and I don't trust WIS enough to wait until the players are released before we start.
