After they got the Iran nuke deal nuked in early 18 and over the next nearly 3 years Iran steadily enriched and quickly advanced their ballistic program even arrogantly advertising it. All of the sanctions in China did not stop them.

During those ~ 3 years things got way way worse te Iran and their programs.

Now very succinctly Trump would get down on his hands and knees to get back the Obama led agreement. And everybody knows it.

So in 2018 they forced their future selfs to get into a desperation war against Iran in 2025 and 2026.

What is wrong hypothetically about bombing bridges and some power plants. They are definitely not necessarily war crimes. Destroying drinking water or gas and heat facilities plunging people into the deep winter without any heat I think is a war crime but some of these knee jerk protestations are wrong.

Trump btw is not alluding to nuke strikes. His rhetoric is so exaggerated that people lose sight of what he actually said he would do.

The thesis is about what he calls an American civil religion that has led us into war and conflict and bad foreign policy decisions based on the in god we trust thing. That we believe as a country that we are guided by and protected by the Judeo Christian god. It becomes responsible for bad decisions made for the wrong reasons.

2015 - Allies ( we once had them ) under Obama get hard fought Iran enrichment deal - UN and every Allly verified that the deal worked.

2018 - Trump says it did not do enough on missle production and that in ten years they would start enriching again. Which was not true with the way the deal worked. And so what? Was Trump a psychic?

2018 - May - Trump rips up deal
2018 - Iran says don’t do it. But Trump does and heightens sanctions.
2018 - Iran immediately starts enriching and continues missle production and never stops and moves some enrichment way underground.
2018 - Jan 2021 Trump relies on sanctions. And stops nothing.
Iran just does it the N Korea way with a little help from their friends.
Iran was helping Gaza before the 2015 deal and was helping during the deal and nothing changed after deal torn up by Trump. Same as it ever was.

Biden tries to bring back the deal trying everything under the sun. No go. Iran says they cannot trust the USA after what Trump did.

2025 - due to increasing enrichment Trump starts war that pauses and accelerates in 2026.

2026 - Trump war to stop them from getting nukes.
2026 - Trump is trying to get the Obama deal back. A verification deal again but there is no trust of him and hatred now for USA and Trump.
