He missed the net a few times...I remember 3 shots at the net, possibly more, but none of em hit.

except when he himself dove into the net ;)

I think one thing no one can take away from 19 is that he always plays hard whether he scores or not.

yep - I watched them 2 nights ago when ovi tied the game up.  their rookie goalie has been awesome.  I'm hoping that if the flyers somehow fail to get the cup that the caps will get it.  

watch tampa win their series.   they are so talented. 

Well, Pittsburgh is a team that is kind of like the Hawks. They couldn't really afford to lose centremen and they lost their top 2.

not just any top 2 centermen either

i can't believe they gave up goligoski (sp?) - he's going to be one heck of a player.  I happy about it though, as a flyers fan ;)

yeah, but I think it'll work out well for both teams though. when sid comes back hell have probably the best wingers he's ever played with James neal. I think neal could score 35-40 playing with 87.

I fear Vancouver has our number this season.  Every time we got close, they responded.  They're just deeper than us this year and it's making the difference.

Tomorrow is about as must-win as it gets.

Was their depth advantage ever in doubt? If you count Byfuglien, Ladd, Versteeg, Fraser, Eager and Burish to Kopecky, Bickell, Brouwer, Sharp and Bolland who are all injured, that's 11 forwards that played for the Hawks during their Cup run that are either not in the lineup or not 100%. There's no team in any sport that could survive that level of loss, no matter who is left.

I knew they were deeper, but we always played smarter than them.  They'd take a bad penalty out of frustration and we'd bury a pp goal.  They aren't doing that this series so far.

In order for that to happen, the Hawks need to play with the lead. If they get the first goal, I believe it can be a different game.

On another note, Drew Doughty is dominating tonight.

I can handle harder, but deeper?  Who the F am I, Nietschke?

Even if the Canuck's manage to win the game.............no excuse for the blatant cheating......what a f...ing joke????

The refs have been awful for both sides.  Torres deserved a 5 minute major and game misconduct and got two minutes.  Hawks have also gotten away with a couple that should have been whistled.  None of that should shock any of us.  The NHL officiating is a joke.
