Well, that will pretty much do it. Decent game tonight though, but watching guys like Frolik and Stalberg continuously bail out of physical challenges and making terrible puck decisions is painful. As I said the other night, you can clearly see the difference in the level of desperation in the game of guys who were there last year vs. new players. Some players look just about ready to pack it in. I thought the Toews line was really good tonight I thought.
Raffi Torres will be suspended I believe, and I think he'll get AT LEAST the same 2 games Ryan got, if not more. It was a blatant shot to the head from the blind side, and that AFTER he got a warning early on in the game. That's the type of stuff the NHL should be penalizing. That said, I really didn't like the call on Ehrhoff (tripping Kruger). That was a clear dive.
On another note, CBC's feature on Jake Dowell and his dad's Huntington's disease before the game was top notch. Interesting tidbit that he's been playing with a broken ankle for the past month.
Time to pack it in and re-tool for next year. It'll be interesting to see the core's (shorter than writing all their names) hunger level next year after all the criticism they've taken this season. Well, things couldn't ALWAYS go Toews' way could they? I mean he had to lose a tournament at some point, lol.
