I think I probably should have started the rebuild in Scranton this year, as opposed to trying to take one last shot before Dave Newhan leaves for free agency. Oh well.
same for me with Texas, at least try to start a youth movement in the bigs this season. just had several key players in their final arb season this year so giving them a shot instead

I did a half rebuild half try to contend bit in Detroit last season...  going all out rebuild the next two seasons though.

The Bats are on an inspired last week run in Minor Leagues that is probably going to cost us a couple draft slots. Year 1 of that rebuild hasn't been ideal, given that it was a relatively weak draft and I couldn't get a stud international.

Slow start in Minors ****** me off so I just ignored the team all season.  Will have to re-evaluate to see if I need to rebuild completely or just need an aggressive reload.

Yeah...  looks like I am eating my international money in both Minor Leagues and Double Mendoza...  that crap is frustrating.

Yep, quickly reminded me why I got out of that market in $, but I don't think I can bail on it in Minors.

It is frustrating.  When it pans out, it is really awesome...  it is a huge pain in the *** when it doesn't.  I mostly hate it because you usually only have the window of opportunity to budget that load on it for the couple of years you are trying to rebuild.  If you don't land one, then it really sets you back.

last season in $ was an international gold mine.  3 front of the rotation starters, 2 well rounded potential all star SS's, and a handful of other real high celing players

I need to sucker someone into taking Stone Covelski's contract next season so I can have more prospect money to transfer - but a backloaded contract to a 6 inning starter type (albeit a quality one) who is aging and injury prone is a tough sell.

Its a total crap shoot though.  I paid 10M for Max Cedeno, and 8.5M for Frank Chang, this year, I'd likely have to pay that full 18M to land one player of that caliber though
