Part of the problem with HBD is that people do not look beyond their screen.

So the remedy for a coach who waits a month and loses interest is to give him the boot from his team before the month approaches?

I think its a fallacy to believe that coaches who have their team stripped from them will then move onto another world. I won't. This policy once enacted will loom in the back of my mind and many others. I was attracted to this game because of the Dynasty aspect, once worlds start folding then what attracted me to the game is gone and I have no interest in acquiring a new team that might just fold down the line. I see at least 1 other owner who has posted that shares that view.

I dont remember who suggested it, but personally, I like the idea of only opening up one public league at a time.

If you were an HBD n00b, which one of these 6 worlds are YOU going to join?

Ford 14 View 6 Moving to Next Season
LOCO 12 View 8 Moving to Next Season
Ott 14 View 9 Moving to Next Season
Spahn 14 -- 2 Moving to Next Season
Vin Scully 10 View 4 Moving to Next Season
Williams 14 -- 9 Moving to Next Season

Me, I'm going to join the one with the fewest openings. I'll join Spahn and avoid Ott and Williams like the plague (no offense plague) because I KNOW the worlds with fewer openings will get started sooner.

1 public league should be available at a time. When that one fills, make the next sequencially available public league available. BAM. Problem fixed.

Oh, and if you have private worlds struggling to fill... either (a) keep trying to recruit new owners, or (b) open yourself up to Public World Roulette.

I don't believe this at all. Some are going to quit. But those who don't will be rewarded by joining worlds that fill in a timely matter. If you say you'll leave, you'll leave. Personally, I'd be slightly agitated but, if I wanted 4 teams, I'd choose a world with a good history of retention.
