The Real Boardgame League Start tonight! Topic

Yea since it is not in the rules this time around, you can trade that team. There will be alot of changes to close some loopholes and make this a funner and better game with more cards next time around.

I am setting the end of this weekend as a deadline to use all your points and time for trading. After that, I will start giving teams not entered to people on the waitlist that has 2 on it already.

Thanks guys once again.

Love this League- just a couple of suggestions for Season 3:

1) Bigger (and lower, lol) spans for ERA. Maybe 5-point spans. 1.50 ERA to 2.50 ERA or something.
2) Bigger (and higher) spans for Averages. Maybe 5-point spans as well from .295 to .365 or something. Maybe that's too big a spread for hitters. Just an idea....

Wouldn't 5-point spans be 1.50-1.55/.295-.300, or I guess it could be 1.50-6.50, but that might be a bit extreme :)

* I meant a series of 5-point spans between those parametes, lol
You know what I meant :-))

* Just would give us more otions than the .296 Hitters or 2.69 ERA pitchers might present a certain team if THAT certain team might get is all...

* Have a shot at some .345-.350 players of you're lucky, or at least .295-.300 would give us more options than JUST relegated to someone who .296 (there's not as many options as you'd think, lol) :-))

The ERA and AVG cards definitely need a spread of a few points, to make them comparable to the SB cards.

ahhh...so that's where I went wrong. :-))
I should have picked stolen base cards... good point. Lots of old time GREAT hitters with 15, 20, 40 58, 68, ect... SB

Then I would have some damn good hitters on my team instead of 11 guys who hit .296, lol...

I guess it's too late for me to pull off a trade with my point, so I'll take a random team.

I will be looking to trade a starting SS with RBI power once the league starts. Either '07 Jimmy Rollins or '49 Vern Stephens.

I just realized I get dry humped in 2005 with Albert and Carpenter....my whole roster of cards is now up for trade.

Wow...I did not really think about the whole picture.

This really sucks. I think it will be hard to put a roster together of anyone recent.

caman, I'll happily trade you the 1977 Rangers (solid Blyleven, Hargrove and Harrah seasons) for the Cardinals or either Giants team card. I'd also happily send you my .286 AVG card for your 45-49 SB card, but you can make a better offense with the SB card. If you're willing to put an OF at 1B, you could have a $60M-plus starting eight with the SBs, without even touching another card.

C Kerins $4.7M
2B Biggio 8.0
SS A-Rod 7.0
3B Joyce (or 5.3M Molitor) 6.8
OF Kelley 10.1
OF Browning 8.4
OF Magee 7.3
OF Keeler 7.9
