If all else fails;

Anyone up for a good old fashioned, and peaceful, on-site protest? You know, the full nine yards: placards, picketlines, etc.

If you can believe what you read on the internet, WhatIfSports.com has (or maybe had, that would need to be confirmed by someone living in the area) office space and/or headquarters at 10200 Alliance Rd., Blue Ash, OH. For those unfamiliar, Blue Ash is a northern inside-the-beltway suburb of Cincinnati.

It seems like WifS has an inordinate number of Users from the Cincinnati area.

This could be a last-ditch option for putting pressure on ADMIN, or at least generating some bad publicity. At minimum, it might be fun for a couple of hours and afterward we could all go have a beer with Tarek.

Because everyone knew the two owners were "failing to compete" despite their win totals. As I mentioned earlier, a team can be 41-59 at game 100. They are not playoff teams. Now they can go 0-62 to close out the season and, as long as they check in and start Training Camp pitchers at 51% once every 10 games, they cannot be removed. No exceptions

this is the real problem...profit or not...admin should make sure the "integrity" of the game is always held up...NO EXCEPTIONS...but by cementing 3 loose rules on tanking they have created ridiculous loopholes like mike stated above...the integrity of the game is now tarnished...we all play the game because it is fun...and because we are all competitive by nature...i just dont understand the thought process behind this...i just cant imagine that a group of wis employees sat down to discuss this and not one person saw the potential backlash...it shows they are either ignorant or simply dont care...and both are bad for us...

They are still there. I havent been there since they got rid of tarek. Even my geekdom has its limits. But knock yourself out.

Giving the commissioner more discretionary leeway (not less) would be a good thing, IMHO.

However, this could only be done in a private world, and with some kind of commissioner approval process that is linked to your renewal to keep from indiscriminate bootings.

Too few approvals with renewal, and a commissioner can be impeached, as it were.

Simple, I'd say.

Obviously I didn't actually expect a refund, but a response would have been nice. I re-opened it without saying anything. Truly terrible customer service. Such a shame, too, this game is so fantastic in so many ways.

Evidently, low-level customer support is besieged by similar requests, jack. Mine got deleted as well, and tzent has asked us to discuss our issues in the forums. He is apparently reading our posts, so don't worry. Not as bad as it looks (for now).

I figured that might be the case. But I've only seen one post from tzent, and it's kinda hard to give them the benefit of the doubt.

I hope what's clear to ADMIN is that this is NOT about one or two specific instances, rather about the entire foundation of the game that many of us feel very passionate about.

(did I sound as nerdy as possible there or what? Yike)

I have a dream that CS is in a staff meeting this afternoon drafting a new policy and a unified response to the firestorm. But, who the hell knows what's going on at WIS. They might be taking a "long lunch" priming for tonight's Cubs-Reds contest.

Ha, same here. Agreed on all counts.
