The objective of the game is to score more runs than the other team. Or limit them to less runs than you have. That particular call did not affect either of those goals. Therefore, there is literally no reason to change the call.

Unless, of course, the objective of the game is actually personal goals/milestones.

I probably just missed that memo.

Because being right is what's most important.

A ball beat a runner to a bag, an umpire got it wrong, and it's fixable. There's literally no reason not to fix it. How do I know? Because STILL nobody has presented one. (Saying "bah, screw it" doesn't count as a reason)
Goddamn, you're dumb.

This entire thread has given reasons why the call should not be reversed. First Arte, and now you, have pretty much dismissed those reasons with the "bah, screw it, change the call" argument.

Like you don't rock that look 24/7.

didn't people in this thread mention they didn't reverse a blown call in a w.s. game?

surely if they didn't change that then they won't/shouldn't change this now

If it wasn't a call which should have ended the game, but didn't, then it doesn't matter.

Just like the twins game example doesn't matter.

Because they weren't calls which should have ended a game, but did not.

Nope. Your dumasseryness has been well established to all. No need to point it out any further.

Thanks for your contributions to this discussion.

No prob. I knew you didn't have anything else. Thanks for copping to it.

Apparently, you can be intellectually honest, even if you only do it situationally

Yep, I think this is it.

You're right.

Nobody ever concerns themselves with personal milestones or achievements in baseball.

Moron.

It's not the objective of the game. So, if that's true, and you don't seem to be disputing it, are you an advocate of reversing the umpire's judgement so we can have a Happy Day?

Because, if that's it, that's pretty stupid.
