wicked game came out the year before......he wasnt an icon but he had the voice......Ricky nelson would have been great had he not died in the plane crash.

cool story......great name either way..........maybe your dad was worried that people would think you were named after the flintstones dino.
Wow. I've told a lot of people that story over the years and you are the only one to guess the reason. That was his concern and he didn't want his son to be associated with a purple dinosaur that ran around like a pet dog, lol.

What about Chris Isaak?
I like Isaak but stepping into Orbison's shoes is a tall order. Wicked Game is haunting...

an interesting choice could have been john fogerty.......he was still kind of prime.....that would have been quite a rock and roll unit.

Bruce, Van Morrison, or Elvis......Costello

thats a great 3....im a giant elvis fan......elvis' voice doesnt seem to harmonize well..like dylan...otherwise he would be awesome.
he would be a fish out of water but joey ramone had one of the greatest voices in the history of rock and roll........no question....he was the male ronnie spector.

here is an interesting question......bob dylan replaced roy orbison in the second willbouries album.....i dont think he had the pipes after orbison to make it work.....who could have replaced roy orbison other then paul or ringo.......
tough one......someone with the elvis /orbison classic voice.....and an icon.
This is untrue. Completely in error.

The Traveling Wilburys were (ALWAYS) initially George H., Jeff Lynne, Petty, Dylan, and Roy Orbison.

After Orbison's heart attack and death, they "re-united" for a 2nd LP (Titled Vol. III---lol) as a four member unit.
Lynne, Harrison, Dylan, and Petty.

Dylan was in BOTH versions and didn't replace Orbison. In fact it is on the record (several statements) that NO ONE was ever considered to replace Roy.

I don't think you know near as much as you think you know about rock music.
Stick with your meaningless lists!
You won't be incorrect that way.

you are entitled to your opinion....my problem with you is that you are a hostile person.
11/14/2018 12:45 PM
i did not remember that dylan was on the first album........if you were a nice person you would be a nice person.
