Sorry for the delay... in Vegas with the wifey for her birthday, just got back from a Cirque show....

DodgerDon started with a nice pitching staff, so I was hesitant to help him fill any of those slots, especially since one well-placed dagger could really hurt him. There are still several BAD teams available, and I thought it might be nice to give him a bad one from 1983, so I'm handing him the 1983 Minnesota Twins. With only four pitchers with 100+ ERC+ and an AL-worst WHIP, the worst thing about this team is that it has FOUR players under $300K, meaning he can use several scrubs. Enjoy Hrbek and the four scrubs.

The 1963 Reds look a little weak on infield defense to me. Fortunately for redcped my opinion often proves to be of little value. After looking for a team that provides little infield defensive help or much else for that matter, I hereby bequeath the 1973 Philadelphia Phillies to redcped.

I'm up but I want to think my last two choices over. Will pick up the draft after church and lunch. Sorry for the delay but wanted to warn.

Hah! That was my second choice for you. Now they’re my problem fittingly.

Okay, my job was to screw Farleyfustle's 33 Pirates.

It was a golden age for the Pittsburgh franchise with such immortals as Arkie Vaughn, the Waner brothers and the great Pie Traynor. If you're a Pirate fan, this would be the era to take I had the perfect screw team worked out for them, but they were taken just a few picks ago.

That sent me into a tizzy because there are about four teams all about equally bad for you, none of them nearly as bad as the 83 Mariners that you were destined to dodge.

I think you're probably not going to be too upset by this screw team. I couldn't find a worsier one to give you and boy did I try. I even considered a team with a winning record. In the end I had to make a choice so...

Farleyfustle gets the 1973 San Diego Padres.

Screw team for jonstephen25 and his 1963 St Louis Cards

Jon, first off sorry for the delay. I’ve been dealing with some family health issues the last 48 hours.
With that said, let’s find a team to screw the Cards.

Geez, the Cards are a very solid first pick. 10- 12 players could be serviceable on your squad.
Good SP, good RP, good INF, good platoon C, but only 1 full time OF.
There is where I can help your team.

I gift you Bobby Doerr and the 1943 Boston Red Sox

Not the worst team available, but it doesn’t help with a good FT OF.

Ok beernoser let me do something for this fine 1933 Yankee team with a 38yo Ruth who even started and completed a game on the mound. You could do worse im sure-im not a Cubs fan-but i see no representatives of them here-so im awarding you the 1953 Cubs.Their stinky bullpen wont help you much.Neither will their stinky defensive SS save you from your own stinky defensive SS.But you can enjoy a right-left combo of Ruth and Kiner in the comfy confines of Wrigley

Dear Peekay -

Thank you for your kind gift of Bobby Doerr and the 43 Red Sox - they were a good screw. Now, one good screw deserves another....

You have the 1983 Expos. A solid team led on offense by future HOFers Rock Raines, Hawk Dawson and Gary Carter and a solid 3B in Tim Wallach. The pitching staff is deep and solid. There are cheap subs on both offense and defense. However, the Expos suffer from a lack of talent up the middle. Doug Flynn starts at 2B with Manny Trillo behind him and Brian Little at SS with Chris Speier backing him up. None of these options are good. Therefore, my goal was to find the crappiest team with the least amount of help at 2B and SS. So.......

Say hello to the Jesse Orosco and the 1983 NY Mets. A team that is really bad. You get help in the pen and an aging Tom Seaver but no help at all up the middle from Bob Bailor, Brian Giles, or Jose Oquendo.

Good luck and you are welcome.

That's the end of round two. Round three starts now.

Please expect a bit of a delay as the team screwing peekay has to digest the team that jon just gave to peekay. Hopefully we'll start picking again in less than a day but I don't want someone to rush these next few picks.

Everyone should be preparing their round three screws now.

fustle said he's having a hard time posting from his phone because he's at the end of page 11 and can't start a page 12 so I'm going to try to waste enough space to get to page 12 and see if that helps.

Ok peekay. You have the 83 Mets and-your choice-1983 Expos.I bestow unto you the 1963 Boston Red Sox.NSox.NoSox.NSox.Not that bad a team.Yaz gives you a real nice season.Radatz gives you a very nice bullpen guy to pair with Orosco from Mets. But i think your weaknesses remain weaknesses.Good Luck

peekay is up with his screw pick of me.

He sent me a proxy but it is a team already taken. I know he's running from work to dealing with an ill family member so it may be tonight before he sees my sitemail.

Screw pick for the commish......

Beernoser has the 1933 NYY and the 1953 Cubs. He could possibly use all 8 position players if he needs to.Dickey, Gehrig, Lazzeri, Sewell, Chapman and Ruth. However RP is weak and SP is ok at best. I gift you the 1983 California Angels.

No studs, but serviceable players that match up to his 1933 Yankees. 1B Carew with Gehrig, 2B Grich with Lazzeri, OF Lynn with Ruth, Kiner and Chapman.
No pitchers with a OAV of under .250 or a whip of 1.30. Have fun in your 8-7 games ..........

I am in fear of Beer daggering me ..... ouch ........
