3B Harry Wolverton
OF Ollie Pickering
I used my double pick (end of round, start of round) to take a 3B and an OF too. Brilliant minds think alike. I kept going back and forth between Irwin and Slagle or Wolverton and Pickering.
I don't know about you but now that we pick every day the looooong wait for almost two whole rounds while players disappear (since you and I coachgreat1 are the ones in that position in this serpentine draft - at the loops in the serpent so to speak) is easier to take. Off the clock was hard, same number of players get taken, and you keep crossing off your from your list, but the long time wait made it seem worse. Now I can take it. And tomorrow we get to make four picks simultaneously having this double pick position at the junction of draft rounds. Will make us feel like we are getting more accomplished than we really are. Which is nice I guess.
I agree that taking 2 guys at the turn is nice, but it's much easier to take for me in this league having had 1st overall pick. When we started the NWPEE, I was in your position of drafting 16th (we had 16 teams) in Round 1 of the first draft. I felt like I never quite caught up on the talent pool.
