Back and forth and back and forth but finally....

1960 Washington Senators
I wish you had gone back one more time.

I am ready to dagger Whaler10, just give me the word.

I think it is fine to throw a dagger 1 - once a player has all 4 teams.

Dagger 2 needs to wait for two things to happen
first - dagger 1, and
then the player volunteers (in these forums) which of the 4 teams is available for dagger 2.

Of course, there is something to be said for doing this Jason-style (Friday the 13th) and cupid-style (Feb 14), but earlier is ok so long as the above conditions are met.

Ok Whalers10, you have some good pieces, especially in Pitching. I can't really hurt you there. I had looked to see if I could force you to spend by taking away a low-cost backup but the best I could do was force you to waste $1.8 million. That's ok but the more obvious choice was to take away your best Pirate bat, 1950s OF Ralph Kiner. I hope that especially hurts because you don't have too many stud options at OF. For your park, I will take away Oakland Coliseum, home of your 70's A's because it'd only enhance your pitching. Best of luck.

JUST A NOTE. THIS IS ONE OF HE THINGS THAT CONFUSED ME.

THERE ARE THREE DAGGERS MENTIONED IN AD BUT WE KEEP READING TWO....

1 KILLS OFF A PLAYER & 2 KILLS OFF A STADIUM (THROWN BY SAME OWNER.)
3 KILLS ANOTHER PLAYER BUT TEAM IS DESIGNATED BY OWNER

...ISNT THIS CORRECT?

You are correct.

The first person throwing the dagger actually throws two.

He eliminates one player and one stadium.

I built my team without Kiner figuring he was the most obvious dagger candidate. Not surprised we lost him.

I would describe dagger 1 as hitting twice, but you are correct. I updated page 1 to include the Oakland Coliseum.

Jpeterso - It is dagger time for you. I would like to applaud you in your dedication to make sure you have enough bench players to survive a stabbing that would result in spending too much on backups. Interesting that every team you have barley has a decent 2B so expect a platoon mentality there and hope to save $$$ to roster some of your better hitters like in the OF, etc.. You have a nice group of there to choose from including Mays. Aaron, Bobby Bonds, Henderson, etc. Matthews and Aaron are interesting targets as you are a little light behind 3B Matthews (could platoon here like 2B if daggered and afford more P help) and Aaron is nice not to face in my division.

The pitching staff seems to be your weakest link as you have some SP's with plenty of IP but the RP's overall don't look so pretty. Boy those 1970 Padres suck except for bench help. I started to look and have been wavering over Perry or one of your Brave's starters. Perry is on the fringe of selecting as he is $8.8M. Is he worth just over 10% of your cap? Did you create room with your draft strategy to keep him?

The player I am throwing the knife at is Gaylord Perry as he is your best SP option of your teams and has the most quality IP
The stadium I want to eliminate is Candlestick (70 SF Giants) as it is the only one that doesn't carry a minus for HR's as your team likely will have a little pop.

Preeves - dagger time. I am going to dagger from your number one chosen team, and most likely the reason you took this team -
Ted Williams.

As for your stadium I am not daggering Fenway, I really want to see your pitching staff try to pitch there.
The other 3 are basically pitcher's parks, but not by much, so I will eliminate Braves Field.
