It would be nice if Saturday's game meant something to Calgary to maybe snap the Canucks back into gear. The consequences being that if Calgary won that game they'd face the Canucks in the 1st round. Not that I'd mind playing Calgary but it would kind of suck going in losing that last game to them. Flames should win tonight because they are only playing the LOWLY AHL OILERS! Anybody can beat them without even trying.

I'd still prefer to play the lowly Blackhawks in round 1 to take care of a lot of business all at once.

Without Buff and Ladd they should be very easy to play against

I guess Andru will be along shortly with the Buff update?  Andru should get hired for the NYR  front office ,all he sees is points, all stats ,if your team is all 5'8' and under but the team scores 600 goals on paper they should win the cup every year..he doesnt see the intangables like standing in front of the net and causing all kinds of problems..

4 games for Torres!!

Compare his hit to what happened to Tanev for example. This evidence just further reconfirms the obvious. The NHL will set an example using players on Canadian teams whenever possible (ie. Bertuzzi). The teams the NHL owners as a collective want to see lose.

If Torres played for Boston, Detroit or Chicago, he would have got NO suspension. If Vancouver was playing Calgary in the first round, the NHL wouldn't give a damn and also wouldn't have suspended him.

Same old same old

Get over yourself peter, there's no big conspiracy against anyone. Now you're starting to sound like a Habs fan. Besides, with the depth the Canucks have, losing Torres for 4 games should amount to nothing anyway.

so who would you guys rather play in the first round?  chicago,LA, or dallas?  if i was you, i'd prefer dallas, but playing chicago might be a way to let go of the past if you beat them.  and LA's always unpredictable.  especially with quick in net.  :>

you may find out who you're playing in three and a half hours if chicago wins.  :>

Doesn't matter to me who we play.  It's a new season, we need to win 16 games.   Regular season was a success, now go win 16 games.

well, it's not gonna be LA.  chicago had their destiny in their own hands and choked.  now if dallas wins in regulation, chicago is out.  :>

I don't think Dallas will lose now. Mixed feelings. I wanted to see the Canucks beat the Hawks but it's gives me a smile to see them miss the playoffs.

well peter, looks like you got your wish.  stars choke as well.  tied at three with fifteen minutes left and they blew it.

or at least you a chance to see if the canucks can beat the hawks.  the canucks have had a better team this year, but hawks have been a thorn in their side.  i don't think it's a forgone conclusion.  should be a pretty good series.  a lot of animosity between the players and the fans.  :>

I didn't think back door was big enough for the head of a Hawks fan to get through, but apparantly it is.
