ehh. maybe. I was looking to dump Sterns, have no room for him. I could afford to lose Mercedes, although I would have preferred to get rid of one of a couple other rps..I have lots of bullpen depth, and wasnt able to get him tons of innings in the past. Stark is good, but I needed to free up $ for going forward..I like the guys I got.

I have 3 legit hitters.  Seems like it would behoove me to have 4 or 5 more.

I need another ML P in $.  Kinda upset I didn't get JR now, but there was no way I was going to pay anywhere near what that guy got.

Hatcher is sick.

Great deal for Dubbs in terms of not wanting to lose $50.  

I like that the carcass of the Cabbage **** is fueling us both against each other.   Murph's like a retarded arms dealer.  

I didn't want to wait on Hatcher, I need to win now because you keep getting better.  Hatcher is a future HOF'er in the right hands.

well, he's in my hands. I pushed Tony Romano to the bigs. So I will trade one or the other at some point when it makes sense. I didnt want Sterns because of his low PC. My pitching was across the board down last year, I attribute a lot of it with going with the low pc catcher. Stark was going to play CF this year. I will likely bring up Charles after 20 games to be my CF. Bong will also be coming up and will serve as my primary LRA. I dont think losing Mercedes will hurt based on how I under-utilized him and how he under-performed last year. I do have tons of relievers. I will just extend BR Miller into an 8th/9th inning guy.
