Is there an efficient way to determine how many runs your team saved with the defense's plus plays other than going box score by box score and manually analyzing each situation?

It's super rough but Runs divided by Hits gives you a vague idea of how your pitching staff gives up runs. Then you have to assume each plus play takes away a hit.

My MG team:
1183 hits, 568 runs. .48 runs per hit.
105 + plays

So, to me, we saved 50.4 runs.

This guy is 73/70/77 for his defensive categories, and with 93 Dur he can play nearly every game. The hitting is pretty decent. FA is coming up in the next few seasons. I'm sure he'll be expensive.

Normally I would probably let him walk if he didn't have the ability to catch every day. I've been successful platooning catchers in the past. Does him being a workhorse at a tough position warrant a big payday in your opinion?

Yeah, a C who can catch every day, play solid D and have an OPS over .780 is a rare find.
