Kinoa entered the playoffs with 5 teams. 2 teams were division leaders and had a first round bye, so 3 teams were active in the first round. Two of his playoffs teams knocked out one of mptreys teams and one of robusk's teams. His third playoff team lost to dskantor 1-4. Kinoa won 9 games in the first round for 18 points to become the new points leader and has 4 teams remaining in the playoffs. I'm sure he was hoping for a better showing from his 5th playoff team than a 1 win first round exit, but it was enough to give him a one point lead going into the 2nd round. No one has more than 4 teams remaining so his fate is in his own hands. He has a 2nd round matchup with pexetera in world 3, which will have a significant impact on the race for the crown.
Pexetereta entered the playoffs with 4 teams. 4 teams were division leaders and had a first round bye, so no teams were active in the first round. Big matchups in the 2nd round include jpevans in world 2, kinoa in world 3, dh in world 4, and 20ks in world 5. Combined record against these teams is 18-9 so confidence is high despite losing the top spot on the leaderboard.
mptrey entered the playoffs with 5 teams. 2 teams were division leaders and had a first round bye, so 3 teams were active in the first round. One team was swept by kinoa, but trey won the other 2 series against jcred and pharrop. Mptrey won 8 games in the first round for 16 points, passing ben in the standings for 3rd place, and has 4 teams remaining in the playoffs. One of 3 owners left with 4 teams remaining. With 2 well rested teams from their first round bye and only 21 points out of 1st place, it's all still possible. Tough matchups lie ahead in round 2, facing dBKC twice, ben once, and pharrop once.
benhoidal entered the playoffs with 4 teams. 2 teams had first round byes, so 2 teams were active with one advancing against dBKC in an exciting 7 game series and one team falling to tarheel in a 5 game upset. Ben won 5 games in the first round for 10 points. Matchups in round 2 will be the dream against the cream in world 3, goetz in world 2, and the one to watch will be against mptrey in world 1 as they battle it out for a podium spot. With 2 well rested teams, ben must feel good about his chances of advancing at least 2 teams, but he'll need to win the matchup against trey if he wants to regain 3rd place.
dBKC entered the playoffs with 4 teams. 2 teams had first round byes, so 2 teams were active with one advancing against ysw and one team falling to ben in 7 games. dBKC won 7 games in the first round for 14 points. Matchups to watch this round will be 2 series against mptrey and one against division leader robusk. Ben will be rooting for you this round dB. If dBKC can get all 3 teams to advance, he just may be one of the ones on the podium.

dh555 entered the playoffs with 5 teams. 2 teams had first round byes, so 3 teams were active. He won one series against jpevans, and lost the other 2 against pharrop and goetz. In a disappointing first round performance, he won 7 games in the first round for 14 points. dh will need help from others to advance, but luckily he's going to get some as dbKC, mptrey, and ben all play each other in the 2nd round. His well rested teams will face off against 24k and jhsukow, and his other team faces pex in world 4.
tarheel entered the playoffs with 5 teams. 1 team had a first round bye, so 4 teams were active. He won two series against ben and sam, and lost the other 2 against ash and jpevans. tarheel won 13 games in the first round for 26 points closing the gap between him and dh for 6th place. In round 2 he faces kinoa twice in worlds 1 and 5, and a well rested ltb in world 4. So this could be the end of tarheel's playoffs, but a great first round.
jpevans entered the playoffs with 3 teams and still has two teams remaining. All 3 teams were active in the first round, winning the series against goetz and tarheel, and losing in 7 games to dh. jpevans won 11 games in round round for 22 points, making it one of the more successful performances rising from 12th to 8th. If he can hold on, a top third showing is something to build on.
robusk entered the playoffs with 3 teams and still has two teams remaining in worlds 4 and 5. With one first round bye, 2 teams were active in the first round, winning the series against goetz, and losing in 5 games to kinoa. robusk won 5 games in round 1 for 10 points. In round 2 he's got another tough matchup against Kinoa in world 4, and his well rested team in world 5 takes on a mambo team with a much better record.
jcred entered the playoffs with 2 teams, one of which had a first round bye. His only active team in the first round lost in 5 to trey. He won 1 game in the first round for a whopping 2 points. The last part of the regular season has to be a disappointment to jcred, who I believe at one point had all 5 teams in the playoffs. All his hopes are now in world 1 where his 4th best Giannis takes on jpevans best Dwight Howard. Good luck with that.
ysw entered the playoffs with 2 teams, and now has none, losing to strippers and dBKC. I'm not sure which is worse. He won 3 games for 6 points falling from 9th to 11th with more teams poised to pass him. Timber... get out of the way of that falling tree.
24k entered the playoffs with 2 strip clubs, and still has two clubs remaining in worlds 1 and 3. Both teams were active in the first round, winning the series against ysw and 20ks. 24k won 8 games in round 1 for 16 points. In round 2 he's got a tough matchup against Copernicus' Cthonic Crucibles in world 3, and dh's Captain Savages in world 1. My money is on the strippers.
One of the surprises of the playoffs, Goetz entered the playoffs with 4 teams, and now has one team remaining.. With no first round byes, all 4 teams were active in the first round. He lost his series to jpevans, jhsukow, and robusk. He won his series against dh in 5 games. Goetz won 9 games in round 1 for 18 points. In round 2 he faces Ben in world 2. They have the same record, but Ben's team is rested and holds the home court advantage. That could be the difference this round that sees a 2nd round exit for goetz.
Copernicus' lone team in the playoffs, the Cthonic Crucibles have been waiting for their moment on stage since they first received their first round bye. With a chip on his shoulder, Copernicus has something to prove with his only playoff squad. Bring your earplugs, because the Taiwanese black metallers Cthonic will be playing the halftime show. They plan to release bats in the arena in honor of their successful tour with Ozzfest, which hasn't been in Orlando since 1998. The CDC aren't too happy about the bats, but since they're not being served for dinner, it should be all right.
