If my world one team was playing anywhere close to its point differential, I’d be getting that 20 point boost and I’d be in third place with 5 playoff teams. Still have an outside shot at it.

I think my team is slightly better than it’s record so far. Really though, it’s on par with my team from last season and everyone else improved.

If "ifs" and "buts" were candy and nuts we'd all have a Merry Christmas

it does seem like there was a lot of improvement over last season.

I made that a refreshable query so I should be able to provide regular updates on it. Unfortunately WiS doesn't post minutes in the team rankings and I am not spending hours writing out team by team queries, so you get Ast/G instead of AST%.

Lowest APG in the league and 2nd best CRB% in the league is not what I expected from a team running Steph at SG with some passers in the frontcourt. Interesting.

My offense is apparently very good as my teams shoot slightly above average and lead the the worlds in assists. But average rebounding and below average defense, combined with really problematic fouls and turnovers looks to be my undoing.

I think these numbers pretty accurately tell the story:

The maximum ts% difference is +2.2% and the minimum is -3.7%.
Maximum crb is 99; minimum is 89.1
Best tov% is 13.3; worst is 17
least fouls is 17.4; most is 20.6

(I eyeballed those numbers, so I might have missed one somewhere. If I did, I apologize)

I'm not going to bother to run the requisite calculations, but the standard deviation in each of those categories has to be extremely small. Thus, in a simulation designed on controlled randomness, it's not surprising that the deviation of wins is also really small (with a few outliers in either direction).

Thus: the Clog.

Don't get me wrong, numbers/statistics are great indicators, giving a good overall feeling of the league. I was mainly making a joke about how craptastic my teams ended up... We're not even in The Clog, Ash! We're not even that good... We're not even :'( ... in The Clog :''(...
