IMO 

Hawks get cap relief over the next 5 seasons and a good sized scrappy left winger (28th pick overall).  I'd use ~$4 mil to go after a player like Ian White or Joni Pitkanen in FA to replace campbell so we'd lose campbell and a mid to late 1st round pick for foligno, white/pitkanen, and $2 mil to help re-sign crawford.    




Ottawa gets its 3rd 2011 1st round pick to go with the #6 overall pick and Nashville's 2011 1st Round pick.   They also get a top tier dman paired with Gochar, Kuba or Phillips.   

Ottawa would be at $49.3 mil with 15 players signed through  2011.... leaving them $12.6 to upgrade (and I mean upgrade) the final 6 roster spots.  



Thoughts?  How far off am I?

I'd talk you down to a 3rd and a prospect and do the deal.

Oh yeah...5-0 Hawks in yet another brutal beating of 7uongo.  Canuck "fans" are openly booing their fraud of a team.

Agreed on that.  Foley used to be great until he became Edzo's straight man.

Looks like we have ourselves a series here.  Hawks obliterate the classless, cheap shot ***** Canucks 5-0 tonight, chasing 7uongo for the 2nd straight night.  As per their usual, once Vancouver got behind, they lost composure and began cheap-shotting every Hawk they could find.  I'm not going to hold out hope for any suspensions, since Colin Campbell could find his ******* with a funnel and a tube of K-Y, but Edler and Bieksa both deserve them.  No matter, we have this bunch on the run now.  Game 6 in the U.C. is gonna be crazy.  We win that, all bets are off for game 7, but if it gets that far, Vancouver will be so far gone mentally that I'd like our chances.

I think this series is going 7.  The Blackhawks have looked great the last two games.   Go Hawks!  Hoping for another Detroit/Chicago Western Conference Finals

Unbelievable. Simply unbelievable. I still can't believe what I watched last night. Vancouver came out ok, but looked simply deflated after the first goal for a team that still has a 3-2 series lead. In all the years I've been watching hockey, I've never seen such a dramatic change in momentum in a series, and I surely have never witnessed a home team get booed out of their building in a playoff game in a series in which they're actually still leading.

That being said, Alain Vigneault is a good coach and I believe he'll have his team ready and very angry in game 6 in Chicago. This will be the toughest test, maybe of the last 3 seasons for the Hawks. The unthinkable is that the Canucks come out and do this for a 3rd game in a row, something that they seemed incapable of during the season. I'm still picking the Canucks to win the series, as I have in every pool I'm in, but I don't think the Hawks go down easy in game 6. 4-3 Canucks, in OT, is my call.

I'd like to make the deal, but considering the cap constraints it would put on the Sens, I'd need a little more incentive. Campbell is a nice player, but Erik Karlsson still needs to be signed (along with other RFAs) and he'll command upwards of 3.5 million and is a better, younger offensive option than Campbell that can play in the top 4 next season. That'll put us right up against the cap.

If the Hawks are willing to give us Campbell, a 1st rounder and maybe Dylan Olsen or Kyle Beach for Foligno, and possibly a 3rd round pick, I'd take the deal. Of course for the Hawks, it would have to hinge on them getting a deal done with Foligno who is an RFA.

Wanted to throw something else out there...did anyone notice a little play that CBC showed where Torres had the puck at centre ice, and then let it go when saw Toews coming and tried to hit him in the head? What the hell is wrong with this guy? If I'm Alain Vigneault he doesn't play next game. He's already cost them, and with stupid moves like that, he may very well cost them the series.

An unrelated little note about the Habs-Bruins game...did anyone else notice that the OT goal was off-side?

 Luongo may as well be in the tranny limo with Kaner and Muddy..he has all but singlehandedly given the Hawks 3 playoff series by himself..just needs to shave his chest hair ,get himself a Borat looking female and go to town..it may get a litte nauseating listening to the hypocrite Muddy not shut his pie hole about all the cheap shots taken out on the precious Hawks ...nevermind Bollands nickname should be "elbow"  but Hypocrites only see the one side of things....their side
