are you sure this isn't another truculent display of bitterness and jealousy by a mediocre coach who can't figure out the game, despite people like me laying out their entire methodology for anyone who chooses to look for it?
In response to your query, I'm in the process of becoming a prosecutor. Be glad being an @sshole or a failure isn't against the law, shadow, because they'd throw the book at you.

08/07colorblind79this run just keeps getting harder to believe.
08/07aat17068They are the #1 RPI, but keep in mind, you have scored more and allowed less than Virginia. You both outrebound by 5 or so. I'm not sure how to best game plan for these guys and that might explain why I lost my last 5 of the season...
08/06colorblind79I'm playing one of the most talented teams I've seen, tonight. I don't think I stand much of a chance with this year's team, against them. Maybe 15% or so.
08/06zamiamAnother great one...coming from 9 back. Keep it going!
08/05colorblind79ty. I doubt we'll be going much further in the NT, but it's been a great year. There is always, of course, the chance that we can continue our run...I'm just not going to count on it.
08/05zamiamAt the buzzer! Nice job, cb.
08/04colorblind79I'll give it my best shot
08/04zamiamthanks, cb. beat vandy!
08/04colorblind79nice job, z
08/03colorblind79not a bad draw for you. Best of luck tonight.
08/03zamiamnice job, colorblind. and the good news is we're both in the NIT!

I lost to a clearly superior team. I have absolutely no regrets about this year's NT. While, of course, I would have liked to have kept winning (2 more times, ideally), my boys accomplished more than I ever could have asked of them. My expectations were completely blown away. tdiddy deserved this win more than I did.
I ran a slowdown zone-press at the default, 0 setting. I figured, well, he hasn't shown any weakness, so there's nothing to exploit...just let your guys try to win it since you can't, as a coach.

this year's RPI and rank will probably go down somewhat. I'm not sure how much yet.

good game colorblind. nothing shameful about your season. you saved me a lot of headaches by beating UVA... although that just meant I had to play your team which likewise didn't have many holes. You did more with less than I did.

Coach, even with that Final 4 loss, it was still a heck of a season, one that everyone on campus is proud of! I just hope you're around next season to take us even further.

thank you tdiddy, good game. I meant to send you a sitemail this morning congratulating you, but it looks like you beat me to the punch on good sportsmanship.

There is absolutely no chance that I will leave Fordham this year, and little chance that I will leave after next year. I'm in rebuilding processes in all of my other teams at the moment, and I need some success to enjoy. Considering that I expect to make the next two NTs comfortably, I think after that I should have some nice jobs available to me.
I will keep track of which jobs I qualify for, however, for ego-stroking purposes. (Yes, I admit that I have a big ego. At least I'm not a jerk to people who don't **** me off.)
Oh, I went from "Boosters Complaining" to "Exceeding Expectations" with the year I just enjoyed.

you had an amazing team this year, in terms of talent and production, both. You absolutely deserved to win the Championship, so often the favorite loses in the NT. Great job, great season, and good game in the Final Four.

Utah is the single school that's apparently an appropriate move for me. I'm not making it, but that's the one. Not bad. A potentially dominant program for a mid-major conference. I'd prefer a DePaul or Marquette, Wisconsin, Texas, or Temple. Iowa's out there, too, but I'm already doing that whole thing in Crum. Nothing else would likely pull me out of Fordham and NYC. I think I could set up a pretty nice program here.

[edit, 8/11, morning:] Texas got scooped up and so did Alabama; extra jobs in the "Qualified" section: Drake, Dayton, St. Louis, UNLV, Virginia Tech, Central Michigan.

offseason improvement/change:

Edelman - +16 points (nice speed!)

Fanelli - +32 points, + 1/3 FT (now a full-fledged star)

Giles - +28 points

Duke - +2 points

Jordan - +31 points (coming from same place as Duke...may have won starting job?)

Thompson - +25 points, + 1/3 FT

Palmer - +22 points, + 1/3 FT

Byrd - +7 points

Carey - +33 points

Hall - +11 points, + 1/3 FT (and didn't leave)

Goines & Carroll - not drafted
8/13/2007 7:32 AM
I am very concerned that Fanelli could leave after this year. I might start Edelman over him, in order to keep his stats down a little. Maybe that would be worse, since he'd be going against the second-teamers. Edelman would be a legitimate starter, and having the better FT shooter out there at the end of games might be worthwhile. I'll have to think about it. Fanelli looks amazing, now. I knew he'd develop well.
