OK, I read that because you're new. Otherwise, it's too long.

I'm rather blunt. I don't have the time nor the inclination to beat around the bush. I'm that way in the real world(personally but not in business because you have to step around people's feelings to maintain a working relationship). It carries over into the internet world. So, yes, had you said that "to my face", I'd have said "Seriously? That's illogical and stupid." Some people respect that, some people think I'm an *******. I can live with either.

As for respect, don't wait for it on the internet. However, it can be earned. It is not given.

As for your "point", it wasn't thought out. I called you on it. It's been made many times and, every time, someone has pointed out the flaws. In the future, if you want to be "respected", examine the possible flaws in your idea before posting. Otherwise, it will be mocked. And some won't be as nice as I am about it.

Too long.

Definitely too long and quite stupid.

Oh and I wasn't calling you stupid Mikey, just your post.

I don't have a way to quantify the difference's but maybe admin can take this into account before making a change to the very grain of how bad teams can get better.

Yes tanking is bad but let's not let the tankers (who can be controlled) ruin it for someone willing to take on a currently bad franchise and try and turn it around.

The number of DITR isn't really the problem. It's the quality. Most are just better minor league fodder. I've played 50+ seasons. All but about 5 have been under the DITR rules. I've gotten 3, that I recall, who became BL-material. 2 RP(of the 30/30 DUR/STM variety) and a 1B with 15/90/50/50/90 ratings(more or less).

I think it would be horrible if everyone got one BL-quality DITR every season. But, if they're going to continue forward with them, teams should probably see a useful one every 5 seasons or so. Just make it so teams have to meet certain player/coaching guidelines to make them happen.

There was an anomaly with a DITR I had in the world Harold Reynolds. This one prospect was selected twice the same cycle as a DITR.

The effect was monumental. He was originally slated to be a bad LF, but the two sets of ratings increases created an incredible leap in projected rating by nearly 40 points.

I'll post his info momentarily, but my point is that it might be a better bet where teams with a combination of coaching and training budgets could see Diamonds in the Rough of greater quality.

At first I was wary because I doubted his current ratings could ever climb to reach even close to his projections, but in the season and a half since he was chosen twice, he has gone up 15 points overall.

While the original concept for this thread was to even the playing field on international prospects, it has started to devolve into perhaps making late round players have more potential improvement.

That would make Jimmy Mota the second known "Double DITR".

Yeah, I didn't even know this had happened before. I told patrickm about it and it was really an anomaly.

Maybe the 17th round has something to do with it.

The only thing in common I see with both of you is the ridiculous amount of forum posts.

I wonder if there's a odds increase for a double DITR after 10K posts...Maybe that's why I'm posting this stupid comment - to increase my post total...but I'm not calling myself stupid...

I've never gotten a double DITR. So the magic number must be between 10400 and 92000.

The secret is spelling "panda" correctly.

Yeah, I didn't mean respect as in esteem, but as in being considerate. Another word: courteous, which I also used. And that whole speel about respect being earned is a bit cliche, don't you think?

You say some people respect your bluntness. What I think you mean is that some people tolerate it.
