This is just a cosmetic fix.  The National Champion in Knight finished the season ranked 8th, going 6-0 on the season against the 7 teams ranked ahead of them.

What is amazing is that CS does not see a problem with this, despite this being a fix that Tarek had made a few years back.

Even if it is cosmetic, rank the national champ #1 automatically and then use the regular ranking system that they have in place for the other 300 teams.

If you have to have a dispute on whether or not the national champ should be ranked #1 or not, then maybe all truly is lost. :-(

Job hiring process is still not working.  Been to the post season 4 out of the 7 seasons I have been at the school and can't move up to at least a D- prestige program at DI.  Granted I am not the best coach in the world, but I have gone to the post season in 3 of the past 4 seasons mostly to the PIT but this season we went to the NT for the first time and still can't change levels.  Have never lost more then 11 games in any season since taking over at the school and cleaning up simmy's mess and was told that I need to have more recent success to get a DI one job.  PLease get this fixed before you lose even more paying customers then have or are about to Seble.

This is not an example of something that is "not working" or needs to be "fixed". You're going to have to get a couple NT appearances in your last few seasons before you have a shot to get to DI. You've only made the NT once, and that was with a 96 rpi after winning the CT. This isn't broken at all, you just need some more real success before qualifying for DI, and that makes a lot of sense.

(You've also lost double-digit games basically every season vs. a weak schedule -- that's not the sign of being DI ready.)

I don't think there necessarily is- press teams that were clearly dominate were ok.     

I don't know if this is an engine issue, but the end of recruiting appears to have ran every 3 hours in Allen, causing an ineligble to show up on my roster, then go juco, then show up... etc.

No
I see mMany of the issues with the engine effecting all defenses, not just the press.

well i'd like to submit the following examples of things i can't figure out (all against teams running the FC press against me):
1 - Game against SIM AI - sim has high IQ ratings on press but average Def ratings and less SPD/ATH ratings than my team.  I commit a ton of fouls and my PG has 8 turnovers (80 BH/Pass A- Offensive IQ)

2 - Game against another SIM - again the sim has above average IQ ratings for the press but again low ATH/SPD ratings.  Again, ton of fouls and turnovers.  In both games I am running slowdown by the way.

3 - game against Human - this time he has below average ratings on the press but high Def ratings for interior players and equal if not worse ATH/SPD ratings.  Again, I commit a ton of fouls and another turd laid by my PG.

In theory, the team playing full court press should be the aggressor thus susceptible to more fouls  I've read that on these boards too.  Yet in each scenario, I commit an inordinate amount of fouls in comparison.  And it looks as though when I have the ratings advantage, the IQ comes into play.  But when I have the IQ advantage the ratings come into play.

Feel free to say I'm just whining - that's fine.  I never claimed to be great at this anyway.  But I never had problems before against SIM teams (which I was 1-4 against them in this world in question).

Seble, what are your thoughts on some of the common issues/complaints being brought up in this thread?

-Fouls
-Rebounds
-Big point swings (i.e. two games between the same two teams)
-Etc.

I think IQ affects rebounding in the sense of being in the right position and place on the floor, also knowing when a shot is going up.

does anyone else feel that this whole process of getting a new engine out was rushed? 

this past season was my last, i am not going to beta test wile paying, im pretty sure that was what the BETA was supposed to do.

seble, i donno why you decided to rush the release before fixing alot of the things that were talked about in the beta.

Absolutely...I beta tested(headfirst)the new engine and we didn't even get through 3 full seasons.The last season was reset several times and recruiting was as miserable as it is now.
This entire deal has been handled poorly and it will continue to cost WIS long term customers.

Why does everyone seem to think that the computer should just go through their schedule and preassign wins for every game against a SIMAI team?
