Tang/CCCP Obama Debate Topic

By the way, Tang, if you're still having troubles accepting the fact that the left is trampling on religion, Google CA bill AB 2943.

No because that is stealing for personal gain. It matters where the money goes. Unless Bill Gates and everyone else wants to personally pay for education, healthcare, etc for the country. Otherwise it isn't theft.
So, if I rob Bill Gates and donate the money to education or healthcare it isn't thievery because he's still rich?
I think you missed the point.
I didn't miss your point. You worded your argument poorly, and I figured I would have some fun with you by showing you this. I understand what you're saying.
You are correct that I worded it poorly.

The state has an interest in regulating businesses. You can’t sell conversion therapy. It’s a scam.

Sanders targeted Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg. What did they inherit? There is inheritance tax on those who do.

OH HEY! Turns out you people actually exist. Gay Mennonites. I didn't know. You're not accepted by the MCC.

Now I understand you and your father. You don't live around us. You couldn't.

It might be interesting to learn the history of your movement but I could really care less at this point.

Your wish to portray yourself as a Jew or Mennonite or anything else no longer matters at this point. And that was my mistake.

FORGIVE ME. You have to. You have no choice. You must forgive me.

I don't think Christ is in you. Pray for me.

Bernie said that it was "unfair" that the 1% hold 90% of the wealth. Please tell me what is so "unfair" about it? They earned it. They didn't steal it from the other 99%? What we have now is fine but Sanders wants to tax them even more. And bad luck, STFU. You and your 99% tax is insanity. This is an A (me) to B(tang) conversation. C yourself out.

Loser.
Because poverty is generational and some of the rich inherit some money. In an equal world, no one would benefit or suffer from their parents endeavors.

Also, not every rich person earned their money and not every poor person is terrible with money.
Just wondering the thought process here.

Do you believe that if you work your *** off and manage to accumulate some wealth that you shouldn't be able to help your children by giving them a leg up with the wealth you've accumulated?

The fact is the majority (not all) of the poor are indeed poor because of poor decision making. That's why if you look at the numbers, most folks who win at least 1M in the lottery are worse off financially now then they were before they won.

If you stripped everyone of their personal assets and evenly distributed it to everyone, in a only a few generations (maybe less) we would have the same results as we have now. The shrewd folks will start accumulating more and those who continue to mismanage their assets will be in poverty.

Only reason people are perpetually poor is because they are bad with $$$.

I never said that.

The fact is the majority (not all) of the poor are indeed poor because of poor decision making. That's why if you look at the numbers, most folks who win at least 1M in the lottery are worse off financially now then they were before they won.

This is a half truth. Yes, some are poor due to bad decision making. Again generational poverty is a thing. If your parents are poor, it is likely that you will be poor as well. There are many reasons for this. The lottery example is a bit misleading as there are tons of very obvious factors that go into that phenomenon. Rich people don't get a million dollars one day after having nothing the previous day. It is slow for rich people, giving them time to adapt. Also, family and friends want to mooch off of your newfound money, most of whom are likely to be poor. My dad says that poor people are in 'survival mode'. How can I make it through the day? To break into the middle class, you need to get out of survival mode and plan for the future. That's hard to do when you can't feed your kids. Hard. Not impossible.

If you stripped everyone of their personal assets and evenly distributed it to everyone, in a only a few generations (maybe less) we would have the same results as we have now. The shrewd folks will start accumulating more and those who continue to mismanage their assets will be in poverty.

1. I don't believe in income redistribution. I am not a socialist. 2. We currently do not have equal opportunity in this country. If we did, the people who were poor would all be those who made bad decisions. However, we don't. This is a fact.

1. Being bad with money isn't a biological trait.
2. Are you arguing that people have zero advantages or disadvantages over others, and that the only factor affecting poverty is being bad with money?
