There’s some really good players left on the board. As crazy as it sounds, I think unbanning the big 3 helped the bottom of the draft a bit too. There’s potential for a great pairing at the turn.

I don’t understand how you could disagree. There are three more players available at 22 than there last season. Three more FIRST ROUND guys. You have better players to choose from than you did last season, and while the top 3 are better as well, there’s a bigger difference at the turn.

Yes. Of course we have three more options at the turn. That is a fact. My opinion comes from

1. I know you made 4 trades but NO ONE is taking the 22nd pick and it isn’t from lack of effort. We all are guilty of falling in love with these guys when we are 20+ picks away.

2. From my point of view, Wilt/LeBron are “$10 tier” players. I’d rather have one of those guys than the last three picks combined. These guys are “$3 tier”

We have different perspectives, I guess.

I joke about Gilmore and the TOWELS, but I think he was a steal at 20. I had him in my top 10, over Dr J and choose to take a savage strategy I hope pays off. We'll find out in a few picks

I knew Ben would get AD but I didn’t account for people gifting AD to him in the 2nd.

Dang. Getting the first 6 exactly right I wonder if I would have gotten two right in the 11-24 range.

Could have been 8 for 8 but I swapped Karl and Dwight at the last second.

I’m intrigued by Rodman+Klay on Evans’ team. At first glance it might seem meh, but actually I think it sets him up to draft well for the rest of the draft since he won’t be reaching for certain things. I think his end result will be pretty good.

JCred has spent a total of 13 minutes on two picks for the record.

Some random thoughts:

1. Didn't realize how much lower Durant went this year vs. last year. Robusk building around him at 13 is definitely going to be better than me building around him at 6 last year.

2. Magic/Pippen takes a lot of pressure off of frontcourt picks, especially in terms of boards.

3. Yeah, Ben getting Davis in the second is trouble.

Yup, new draft strategy. Last season I was ok in some worlds, but overall mediocre. I figure changing it up raises my chance to crash and burn, but it also lifts my ceiling. Taking a risk, but with all the tough competition here I need to if I want to improve on an 8th-place 1st season.

I will be releasing a new episode of Game of Zones tonight and I am hoping to release the finished documentary episode this weekend.

That was a big priority for me. I always get killed on the glass.

I think this 14 consecutive Savage picks for me where “my guy” is selected right before me. I was really getting excited about a Texas two step team of Hakeem and Duncan.
