I just got home from work. I went to work this morning with the understanding that we were not drafting today. This was based on ff09's post last night, that he changed later. He has very graciously offered some ideas to help with the issue.

I am not, however, particularly thrilled with the response by some here who implied that this problem is the result of my laziness or lack of organization. It was implied that since I am a veteran owner, that I should know better. It was implied that I am simply incompetent. It was implied here that I am some sort of a jerk for expressing my displeasure with the situation.

It was also implied that I was being dishonest about my computer capabilities. I'm sorry, but I cannot log on to Whatifsports from my work computer. Since I did not think we were drafting today, I did not bring any sort of list of players, including my own grid of who has and has not been drafted. To anybody who said I can do that all on my phone, sorry, but I cannot do searches and spreadsheets on my phone. Maybe you can, but I can't.

The thing that is the most disconcerting is how casually some here just simply wrote it off and continued on, with the attitude of "too bad, so sad."

So, I'm not happy. Some of you probably don't care. Fine.

I am not going to take my ball and go home. Ff09 has offered a couple of options, and I'll take whatever is decided and move on. I will await the final word before proceeding.

Some corporate software will not allow logging on to any type of gaming, that's a fact...

Not everyone has voted but their is already a majority for option #1. Nordawg is up, then everyone else can finish up. I will make my pick last. Thanks all again for your patience

As I said earlier, the draft is on hold. Nordawg will now get his pick, then it goes back to bigsteve and the rest. The last official pick was nyyfanonva. Any player selected after nyyfanonva is available.

It will take me a few minutes to go through the options.

Some "just wrote it off" because what is a perceived crisis to you does not translate to the entirety of the league. You also made it clear you couldn't respond until you got home from work (after responding multiple times when you could have instead picked) leaving everyone else with two options. Either to sit around and wait for you to get home. Or to move on. Most chose to move on because it was clear to us that it was a timed draft today.

And despite this, you still managed to stop the draft leaving a number of picks living in a null limbo but having the owners reveal their strategies. And instead of just picking - went ahead and re-aired your grievances. So while claiming no one cared, you still made the entirety of today's draft about your perceived crisis.

I suppose you'll leave us guessing as to what that is, much like how you never actually said what player you wanted to draft but couldn't have in lieu of throwing a protracted fit.

pumpkinmcp, I believe it was you that continually had an issue with me being tardy or what not, yet NEVER grasping the concept that LIFE does get in the way, & regardless of how great this thing is, & how long a lot of us have been in it, you continually try to call people out. I'm not going to get in a ******* contest, but I voted to start 2nd round over for what it's worth, again, it's a damn online GAME, not something that should EVER take precedence on someones time, work, family, etc. Nord has been a mainstay in the league, & I side with him.

Hey pini—I have definitely bristled when I think people have been rude in the past, and I think blowing people off is rude and I still do. I work a full time job as a litigator and I was also solo parenting a teething baby today, but still made a point of making my pick on time. I also give you credit because you listened to what people had to say and have made efforts to be more considerate.

I didn't start taking shots at nordawg until he decided to yell at everyone even after a day of people bending over backwards to try to help him, even though—as I mentioned earlier—according to him if the facts are as he understood them to be, that he was going to nuke the draft for everybody today if it was untimed and not say anything to anyone. That sucks! As you say people are busy and if they don't know someone is gonna do that they might keep checking in fruitlessly.

And, I've been in this league for over 30 seasons at this point if we're doing appeals to length of time in the league.

I am continually gobsmacked that the “issue” is people wanting consideration of their time, not that individuals hold things up for their own conveniences.
