And my reasons were similar to bpop's

VD got three Full Time ML players for 1 platoon catcher.  I am not buying the salary aspect...it was $5M, that he signed this offseason.

that guy isnt a platoon catcher, all his other numbers are strong enough, including pitch-calling, to play all the time

I agree, if those three prospects (not counting TJ) were all on the open market, Id go after the catcher first.  Its harder to find a player with similar skills who plays that position well.  Its comparatively much easier to find a well rounded 2bish guy, and a decent hitting, poor power 1B

basically what it boils down to is people value players differently, and they are imposing their beliefs on the league. wake up people, this is HBD, not church.

Nobody that feels strongly in either direction about that veto is right.  It was a definite judgment call.

I'm ******* tired, but at least I'm immune from jury duty summonsesesiii for 2 years.
