Try maintaining favorable relations with the EU nations while telling them they can shoulder the entire burden of the refugee crisis because we're too scared.

I think people in the United States don't realize how bad things are over there just trying to feed and house the massive refugee population.  It occasionally hits the news here.  It's half the news every night there.  Every city and town in Germany is being given a quota of refugees they need to support, and some of them are upwards of 10% of the population in the smaller towns.  Let's go tell Germany we can't help anymore.

There comes a time when doing what's right by everyone is outweighed by what's right for you.   I don't know if we've reached that point but temporarily slamming the doors on immigration isn't something that should be immediately dismissed.

I'd be more than happy to set up refugee camps anywhere (Syria, Germany, Iraq, Turkey) but not in the USA to help these people.... I'd even pay for their basic supplies and send troops to help defend the camps.... But I'm not settling 65,000 refugees or even 1 here on US soil until congress can figure out how to defend us from extreme Islamic terrorists. All it takes is one terrorist to slip through the cracks to kill a large number of US citizens.

Had Obama taken care of business in Syria when he had a chance we wouldn't be facing a refugee issue here or a crisis in the EU.

A terrorist can just as easily enter the country as a tourist with a passport from any number of countries.  Or be one of the thousands of US citizens who are adherents of ISIS.  You can't protect yourself from terrorism in the modern world.  At best you can establish a false sense of security.  The best way to fight terror is to project an image of your nation that will discourage new recruits from experiencing anti-American sentiment.  Trust me, singling out Muslims and refusing to help the ultra-needy from Islamic countries is NOT going to help on that front.

Since you can't protect yourself, your words, do you think it's best just to do nothing?   Maybe make potential terrorists pies?

And, no, I'm not going to "trust" you.   You're an internet *******.   What you know about protecting oneself from terror can be written on a pinhead.

'it is much safer to be feared than loved because ...love is preserved by the link of obligation which, owing to the baseness of men, is broken at every opportunity for their advantage; but fear preserves you by a dread of punishment which never fails.'

We have 23 Muslim Allies

It would be nice if we could have more than 23 Muslims as allies.
