Busk- Trade approved in KP
Nice.

I just got out of a meeting and found I was getting a 10% hike in my salary too.

It is a good day.

Double Mendoza budgeting today. The two-week delay spaces my teams out nicely.

And congrats, Bobby Lee. Though it's probably about time to get a job making real money.
Dude, I actually took a pretty well paying-job...****** off a shitload of people in academia in the process.  Whatevs.  Feels good to not be living on a super-thin margin for the first time in forever.  And thanks.
Good job then. Wearing the corduroy jacket and being around coeds all day definitely has its place, but living on that salary sucks. My university job was probably the funnest I ever had, but the time came to do adult things like buy a house and start a 401k.

I like how ****** is redacted, but shitload goes through just fine.
Wait, you had a university job?  How did I not know this?
Rice. Great school, good campus, tenure mentality extends to staff, huge endowment. Just didn't pay very well.
did the huge endowment help land lady briese?

Minor league FAs are no longer re-signable before free agency. All of my ? are on guys who played in the minors last season.

is the goal to make signing minor league free agents more difficult? just seems like that will lead to worse maintained minor leagues in general

Had a death in the family this morning, and, somewhat appropriately, it's possible I'll have some trouble keeping up with Erffworld's offseason activities.  May require some emergency assistance, probably just on Monday or Tuesday.

I think this was a case of them adding realism for realism's sake, in a manner that really wasn't good for the game. The way the system was set up, 6 year minor league free agents weren't really "free", because their old team could always just resign them without them hitting the market, but there's no real add to the game in doing it this way.
