President Obama and the Election of 2012 Topic

Oh, I beg your pardon. I define "ducking and running" as "giving a flippant answer to a serious question when you realize the real answer would lead you into an argument you will lose."

You ran away from a line of discussion, not the boards.
I asked you to define it for me since you seeemed intent on nitpicking and avoiding the topic.   How is "hating on"(whatever your definition may be) a class of people for their social standing any different for doing the same thing based on skin color?

This ain't this 60s, buddy.   You're about 50 years late for that lynching talk.
Actually he's only about 13 years too late for it.

Only 13 years since the last lynching?  My mistake!!   I guess I missed the big lynching decade back in 90s.

Which is why I asked for Mike's definition of "hating on". Which he refused to give. It's not semantics, fool, it's getting someone to stand by their statements.

The argument can't move forward if he's not willing to have it. If you feel like tagging in for him, go right ahead. Define "hating on", moy.
Hating on = having a hatred for; extreme prejudice

Works for me.

In which case, moy, I don't see an apples to apples comparison between someone "hating on" Herman Cain because he's black, and someone thinking Herman Cain has a vested economic interest in 'class warfare' tactics like weakening unions.

One's completely irrational, and one isn't.

it's OK, Mike, we already knew you were a bit of a coward.

Apples to apples. Hating on herman cain cause hes black or hating on Herman Cain cause he's rich. Is there a difference? You keep avoiding the answer by pretending there is some hidden context in the question. The question couldn't be more simple imo.
7/30/2011 11:03 AM
Do people hate on Herman Cain because he's rich? Provide me with an example of this please.  Because what I see is people hating on him because of his words and actions, not simply because of his income level -- and that's why it's absolutely not an apples to apples comparison.
7/30/2011 11:50 AM

You again are trying to find a way to over define the issue.

The left is using the rich as their bogeyman. The same way some ised blacks as a boogeyman in the 60s.

Wow.... For the fourth time anton can't simply answer the question posed. now the technicality is the person. Insert any rich, black man for Herman Cain.

Hating on chad ochocinco cause he's black or hating on chad ochocinco cause he's rich. Is there a difference?

That doesn't appear the answer the question I posed.  You can tell it's a question when it ends in "?".

Would you like to try again?

Here, I'll make it easy by substituting a few words from swampy's post:

So are you saying that Bernie Sanders going on Randi Rhodes and saying that the negroes are destroying the middle class and Latinos are trying to destroy the economy for their own profits could be thought of as worse than making a comment about hoping all Republicans in office die?

Does that help?
7/30/2011 1:54 PM
Does that help me guess at how you define "hating on"? No, not really.

When you grow a set and decide to stand by your own statement, let me know.
7/30/2011 2:06 PM
1) "I hate black people."

2) "I hate the rich"

3) "I hate the Yankees."

There is a reason I placed statement #2 closer to #3 than to #1. Let's see if Mikey can figure it out.

When you decide to quit being a raging ***** and explain how hating people from a specific social standing is different than hating people for skin color, YOU get back to me.  Until then, cower in your ***** corner and try to figure out how to twist this into some liberal flag waving.

I know it's hard but try to keep up.

1.  I hate Herman Cain because he's black.
2.  I hate Paris Hilton because she's rich.
3.  I hate the Yankess because they're good.

You tell me the difference between 1 and 2.   I just threw 3 in there so you could follow along.
