Thanks, newark. Thanks a whole lot. I suppose that's for taking the '11 Phillies in Wannabe?

If newark hadn't taken him, I was seriously considering him for Cincy.

I used Gaetti many, many legs ago and as I remember he had a decent SLG% but his BAV was hideous. somewhere around .220. jeez that was at least 2 updates ago. maybe it has changed.
Fantastic - I may just use Tim Laudner at catcher (any 1980s Twins fans around?  Buck ninety club anyone?) and Steve Lombardozzi at second to make Gaetti look better...

Cardinals off the board...just in time for my pick.

Cubs can't expect to lose nobody, though it's kind of what they need to be competitive.

He pitched well for the Rangers last leg, so we'll go with Matt Cain - SFG.

first loss that really hurts my draft strategy for the Cards. still, could've been worse.

Alright, gonna go with a favorite hitter. Dante Bichette, COL, OF
Dante got us thrown out of Vet Stadium once.  A group of us had tickets for a Phillies-Rockies in July 1995 and we were sitting in the entire row directly above the broadcast booth where Harry Kalas and Richie Ashburn called the games. Every time Dante came to bat, the Phillies PA announcer would intone "Batting for the Rockies, number 10, right fielder Dante Bichette."  Immediately after which, we all yelled, in unison, "Bullsh!t", thinking it clever that Bichette and Bullsh!t were relatively close phonetically. We didn't know it for sure at the time, but the lovely Mrs. Jose, watching the game at home, later confirmed that you could hear us clear as day on the broadcast.  They let us get away with it for Dante's first two at bats (including a monster three run dinger to left center off of Jim "Two Silhouettes on" Deshaies in the 4th) but when we did it again in the 7th, they came with a small army of security guys to toss us.  We didn't go quietly, choosing to chant our name for the hated Bichette as we were marched out of the stadium. Drunk as we were, we stood outside the Vet until Dante came up again in the top of the 9th and we got in one more "Bullsh!t" for the road, secure in the insane knowledge that Harry could still hear us.
