Rule V Leg #60 Draft Thread Topic

Hey Bri, just throwing it out there but due to the dynamic salary upgrades that have taken place that have left a bunch of players virtually unrosterable, have you thought about a bump in the salary cap next leg? Perhaps to 125 or 130 mil? Just throwing it out there for discussion.

The whole point of the dynamic salaries was to get different players into usage and I don't see any reason why that shouldn't be the case here. I'd love to see even just a slight bit of variety instead of upping the cap so that it's all the same players we've always seen.

I agree with the "viper"

I don't understand, I didn't leave any of my salaries behind, took almost every one of my players at pretty much their Best seasons & I'm still 1. 3 million under the cap?

It’s an interesting thought, Rick, but I tend to agree with AV and DD. I was thinking that once we get the 2018 players into the fold that we’d have 50 seasons to work with. After that, any thoughts on keeping it at the last 50 seasons? So, when the 2019 players become eligible, we’d use 1970-2019, etc.

Some teams have more trouble getting under the cap than others. The Dodgers might have the biggest challenge doing so in this theme.

I'm not complaining about cap at all, not sure why everyone keeps bringing up the Dodgers. I'm perfectly fine lol

Then you’re doing better than I was a couple of seasons ago. Kudos!

If Eichhorn hadn't been there I was looking at Rivera, but as the Tigers I have a little bit more cap room than others...

Sin: I like the 50-year window idea. Prefer mixing things up to keeping them static.

I thought long and hard about keeping "Eich" but whenever I've had him he kinda stunk or was mediocre at best. When Alomar didn't get poached in the first round I decided I would prefer having him and leave "Eich" available.Again in the third round I preferred to have BJ Ryan.

Oh I think it was fair to keep Ryan over Eichhorn.

This draft may be moving slower than typical. And its typically slow.
