No problem man! Its the easiest way for me to see how much worse I am than the competition here! I get to update a list of.....

"he's better than me"
"I'll never catch that guy"
"damn he's better than me now too????"

I'm sure i will say the same about you soon as well!

I normally don't add anyone to the list until they reach 5 titles. But today I have a special addition that deserves recognition!

If you scroll to the very bottom of the list, you will see what I consider the unthinkable..... in D2 Allen, a sim has been crowned champion. I can't remember the last time I've seen a sim win a title at any level in any world! Sure, it was all human recruited players. And a sound team. But the fact that no humans could bump them off blows my mind. Because of this, I felt it was noteworthy to add to our list of noteworthy champions!

I play in D2 Allen myself, so I'm not exempt from this, but...... D2 Allen humans, you should be ashamed! Haha

I love the last entry on the list, SIM AI - Allen D2 - Season 124. That's just so "Wrong", hahahaha.

Feels like it's been forever since I've posted here.... so a big shout out to StrikeMike for breaking the thread silence by winning championship #5! Welcome to the board young man! Savor the moment!

And also congrats to hawkfan1991/1992 for moving into the distinguished "20 rings" club. Only 22 coaches have reached that plateau. Great job!

that is awesome! i mean, not for the humans in d2 allen... but still awesome.

sims can be really good coaches for certain teams. i always thought that was interesting. god awful recruiting wise (and no team building strategy of any kind), with a useless concern for listed position... but when they have the right team, they can really coach, despite the fact that they don't do game to game adjustments. i think its pretty interesting trying to puzzle out why and such, on the rare occasion you glimpse such a team.

how long was the program simai before winning, just the 1 season or what? who built the team that they won with? that is a pretty cool accomplishment, i don't really have an HD bucket list anymore, but that is the one item half way on there or whatever. just got to make sure you play the school's original O/D now that simai will revert on you, got burned by that once, uhg! (3.0 'enhancement')

It was coached by jriccio16. And it was only sim for that one season after he left. But here's the interesting part...... that coach spent 10-ish seasons there and never had it past round 2. So it's not as if he was killing it before he left, it was completely surprising. Was a very good team tho.

And for even more fun, the sims opponent in the final was a 12 seeded human that had a fantastic run thru the final. (And likely was under seeded due to promises and things). I got no room to criticize...... the 12 seed beat me in round 2!

another PBA title winner eh? not sure what it is about that place, is it really that good, or is it all the talk about it being good that causes good coaches to try their hand, creating a perpetuating cycle?

seriously though, congrats on #10! huge landmark. i didn't see you left your fantastic minnesota program, good luck with the new digs.

D3 PBAU, Texas Tyler, Colorado area, Cali area

D2 Grand Canyon, N.Florida, TX A&M Commerce, Cali area, a tiny bit Colorado area.

All these SCHOOLS that have mega success at lower divisions in comparison to others. Yes sometimes it's an elite coach(s), but locations that produce heavy talent per capita

I don't understand why, but I feel like HD forces Colorado to be like the mecca of basketball. Forget NY, forget LA, let's put huge talent in...... Colorado? Middle America? Not sure why that is.

Leaving Minnesota was one of the most difficult decisions I've made in this game. There's something really satisfying about building a program from scratch. But I was there for 26 seasons and was ready for a new challenge.

I definitely think Palm Beach attracts good coaches and that is a big reason for the school's success. The great thing about the school is that there are no other D3 schools in the state. But in my relatively limited experience at other schools in D3, I usually end up battling with D2/low-D1 and not other D3 users. Since Palm Beach is on the ocean there are fewer players close to campus than you would have at other places, so your success will really depend on the D2 and low-D1 population in Florida.

what's insane to me is that 26 seasons doesn't even sound that long. but then i remember that in 1/day... that's like 3+ years. this game is kinda ridiculous huh? we invest half a year in a program and consider that next to nothing.

the only folks with more motivated customers are drug dealers! how the heck do so many companies manage not to make money off this thing?

Congrats to hawkfan1991 for title #10! (Although really it's title #21 with his two profiles combined)
