I dont know why The Glide doesnt go earlier - there is so much to like and so little to hate - the 94-95 (trade) season is actually pretty sweet

is it just the slightly meh efg?
Always goes in the 4th and usually smack dab in the middle. Should go higher. Considered him at the top of the 3rd but rightfully went with George. Very surprised he was still there 46 picks later.

Is there a reason why there's a prohibition on not mentioning non-drafted players; allowing comments on any player - drafter or otherwise would certainly liven up the discussions -- and add some ribbing to those who draft someone "other" deem less than desirable.

Just a thought.

I think it's always been because some of us are watching guys we want slide and dont want competitive advantages thrown out the window when someone else gets reminded holy crap Donyell Marshall or Marcus Camby are still just sitting there - I mean admittedly we've been playing fast and loose this draft in any event

It was once explained to me, and I agree, that once the player’s name is mentioned, perception is that he has been taken.

I was in a league once where a guy, intentional or not, would draft and then delete the pick and draft someone else. It is not the same thing, but we don’t need to add additional things for people to check for when drafting.

Agreed. Too much potential for gamesmenship for other owners to say like "hey you guys aren't really gonna let copernicus get _______ here?" or something like that.

Enough already - I get it - we don't want individuals taking responsibility for their actual draft selection BECAUSE "gamesmanship" may be confusing to one who finds it just way too difficult to check to see who they're drafting given who's actually been drafted ----- EXCEPTION that diminutive 1970's point guard from a school in West Texas, near El Paso, coached by Don Haskins --- which now has a new name, although the old name was reflective of it's local in the Western part of Texas - only inverted.
NO GAMESMANSHIP PERMITTED - WE DON'T WANT TO RATTLE ANYONE INTO DRAFTING SOMEONE THEY DON'T WANT TO DRAFT

well its not really an established rule penn...just a common courtesy among our community

if its the 3rd round and someone posts, "well i was thinking about nash here but i just cant handle the turnovers...ill select terry porter" that might tip off the next few owners that, "oh yea nash is still out there!" when they may have completely forgotten about him...this happens all the time to frequently drafted players that slide down the draft board...if you were a few picks away hoping for nash, you wouldnt like what the porter owner posted

for example, if someone decided to post " why doesnt oscar get drafted high anymore?" and then oscar gets picked right before you were aboiut to take him, you would be pretty ****** right?

with tiny, no one besides you is really looking to draft him, so thats why its more accepted to joke about him when he hasnt been drafted

For those of you that don’t understand those $65,000 words, this might help.

cour·te·sy
/'k?rd?se/

noun
  1. the showing of politeness in one's attitude and behavior toward others.

Nothing will ever beat STRATAGY, but I think this year’s team name will be NO GAMESMANSHIP PERMITTED - dibs on that name.

ok - so what your saying is that there's no love for Tiny --- EXCEPT FOR ME;

On a serious note - is there really a difference between Tiny campared to Kobe or West or for that matter Kidd

Tiny gives you scoring, assists and over 100 3pm --- Kobe & West give you better defense (although not compared to Nash) less assists and less min -- when you balance things out i don"t see the negatives with iny that obviously others see _ there has to be a formula for TINY ___ maybe next season
7/16/2020 5:57 PM
Once again the peanut gallery can"t resist exposing their lack of courtesy towards others __ thanks for your understanding and compassion __
7/16/2020 6:06 PM
Yes - defense, rebounding, and threes. Also, people use the early 70s -redacted- as a point guard who turns the ball over the less and plays defense 40% better & Kidd is the most efficient and the best passer out of all of them
7/16/2020 6:06 PM
I've looked at Tiny a few times but it's hard to make up for his absolutely atrocious rebounding. If you're a high usage guy floating around ~50% eFG%, you better not have many (if any) other glaring deficiencies.
