If it was a snake draft the whole strategy changes, I would not have picked the CWS, and Sigblend probable doesn’t pick the Reds. We picked them early knowing there were a core 4 worth keeping and we would get the early picks in each round. If it was a snake I would have taken a top team.

This was a unique draft. Fun to try something different. If it was a normal progressive I might have skipped it.

If I am remembering it correctly, it's only an advantage based on the RL finishes of your teams. My Giants are good now but will suck in a few years and then we get to draft early which can only help. I think prof's idea has great merit unless you own the Yankees who were always great.

Quite right tridentric, but the prof has created a hydra here. The Yankees may always be great but the core four makes this very different, I had to cut Babe Ruth, and things only get more interesting. Keeping your core four is one thing but trying to draft players for the future that you won't lose to next years core four and remembering you must cut 11 players from your roster makes your choices very interesting, Lets see who will play the part of Hercules .

I thought about it, and we can do it in the future if we decide that this method didn't work - that teams that should be good are too weak to compete because they always draft last etc.

But I know that when you have to wait for two whole rounds to pick, it is frustrating too, and that it may undermine the idea of helping weak teams rebuild in a short time. But let's see how this works and we can discuss changes that might be needed.

Yes, if you have the Yankees, you do have a lot of great players over the years, but for the good field position in the draft you have to wait for Tom Tresh, Horace Clarke and Jake Gibbs - or maybe Gary Sanchez and Roughned Odor (he should sue his parents).

Seriously, I am hoping the results here are:

1. balance
2. unpredictability in the pennant races.

Since he's the only Mallon available, I am going to assume so unless strubrosII tells me otherwise. I have removed Les Mallon from the player pool list.
