I got tied up this morning and I'm a little late for my slot on the clock. The delay saved you from the '78 Mets. Instead, I will gift you the 1958 Baltimore Orioles.

The O's come with a power hitting catcher which you may choose to use, but the rest of their hitting is pretty sad. They give you 3 decent starters at a cost, but you already have decent starters on the '58 Braves. The best chest piece you gain may be Hoyt Wilhelm but a 44 IP reliever isn't carrying anyone to a pennant.

They qualify as OF for roster purposes. If they have a defensive rating you can use them at those positions during the season.

We seem to have come to a screeching halt here. Still one pick to go before my pick for calhoop.

What happened to moving on to the next pick? We were skipped earlier for missing our window.

At this point anyone should be able to post a Round 3 assignment if they have one. All the time slots have surely passed.

I paused yesterday to solve a problem and didn't reset time slots. That is clearly NOT working so I will restart them for Friday.

Agreed, and I mis-stated another part too.

lenny has exclusive rights to screw 3day until 4pm.
After 4pm, it is a race between lenny and me.
3day can go at 6pm (earlier if lenny and I go).

Round 4 window starts with C_Burns 8am-10am tomorrow, but he can go earlier if r3 is complete.

Lenny promises me a pick around 8pm-ish so I will forge ahead and 3day can as well.

Midknight's 48 Indians are ...better than his 78 Blue Jays. He is solid at most positions, and any team filled with Dave McKay and Jerry Garvin analogs was assigned well before round 3.

But Boudreau is nearly 13 million at SS, and Lemon is 11m at SP, so fielding either will be an exercise in self daggering.

My goal was to deny cheap backups at 1B and 3B or great starters at 1B & SS, without adding too many options at OF/SP.

Thus, Midnight gets the 1988 Cleveland Indians.

Since there is no backup at 1B or 3B, you can pay full freight to use Upshaw or Jacoby in that role.

As a Royals fan, I can anticipate how an OWNER would prefer Washington's salary over Boudreau's, but I think managers would lean the other way. I don't anticipate you will build your lineup around Upshaw either.

You do get a solid SP & RP, but it is hard to find a perfectly terrible team this late. You get playable OF's but they are worse than your current top 3, which is sort of theme for nearly every batter.

Hopefully, I saved enough problems for you to solve to keep your 4th round interesting!
