I think it started with the MLB Network.   Not sure if it was Ripken or Smoltz that I heard say it first.   If I had to guess, I'd say Smoltz because the Braves are in a tight race and, quite frankly, the teams not in the hunt are going to play their young guys.   It changes the pennant races but it's always been that way.

The local WNBA team here won a championship last night; I think they now go on to the loser's bracket of the Single A Boys High School State Championships.  Should I be ambivalent about this or more annoyed that the Former Sonics did not take this silly team with them to Oklahoma?

You should be embarrassed to know A)  that you have a WNBA team B) that the WNBA team won C) that you asked me something about the WNBA.

I agree and I am, but is it my fault they have talked about it on ESPN & the local news last night, ESPN Radio and the local Rock (at least The Rock (station) was mocking it) station this morning?

What percentage of WNBA players and fans are NOT lesbians?
9/17/2010 9:56 AM

With that info, I'll pardon you for A and B.   But there's no excuse for C.

6.4%.   And they're fat dudes hoping to be the meat in a lesbo sammich.

9/17/2010 10:07 AM
Does that imply that a higher percentage of non-lesbo WNBA fans come from the midwest?
9/17/2010 10:30 AM
Are you ever going to get tired of this?

Would a full lineup of WNBA all-stars be able to beat four WIS-Hall-of-Famers plus Kobe Bryant?
9/17/2010 12:46 PM
Isn't the more interesting question whether the WNBA all-stars would lose by less than 30?
9/17/2010 12:47 PM
It stands to reason as 64.3% of the fat dudes in the USA live in the Midwest.

Probably not.

Yeah, I've used similar.   He's not a world-beater but he can make a living pitching for a fake baseball team.

Not if the 4 WifS HOFers accepted that their job is to give the ball to Kobe.   Which, by the way, they probably wouldn't.

I'm pretty sure I'd take the points if the WifS team was Kobe, me, you, 'tardcomm and iain.  I'm thinking I'm the only one of us with any athletic ability and I'm old as ****.   4 trips down the court and I'm gassed.    That leave Kobe to play D by himself while you, 'tardcomm and iain circlejerk.

Did I ever tell you that some friends and I once beat the ACC Women's player of the year in a game of pickup, and there were a couple dudes on her team that were way better than her?

Does that change your answer?
9/17/2010 12:56 PM
Would it at least keep you from thinking about re-todd, dino, and me in a circle jerk?

If not, would you stop thinking about it if I asked nicely?
9/17/2010 1:10 PM
You may have.

No, it does not.    There's a difference between the ACC PoTY and WNBA All-Stars.
