Either bad luck is kidding or simply a dolt. Either way I am very close to blocking him. His posts kill more brain cells than alcohol and pot combined. And $2bn in revenues is not a small business. WTF!?
It’s not 2b in revenue. It’s 2b in sales. Big difference.

Actual revenue last year was around 175m. Not sure what our payroll and overhead chunks out of that but the partner with the most equity took home just under $14m last year.
What? What was the top line? Sales/Revenue and what was the net income? $175mil is still not small. Lmao
The product we sell cost our customers $2b last year.

The revenue we made from those sales totaled $175m.

I think we’re technically still a small business.
I see so then $175mil is your top line and no you’re not a small business by any standard once you eclipse $75mil.
Sure ok. You’re the one that said I worked for a small business.

Honest question to - bad_luck, tang, taint, bob, wylie, the chuckster... No hidden agenda at all with this one. I am simply curious.

For those that believe in Climate Change theory, how do you take account of the impact with the massive increase in human population? Industrialization (Agricultural Revolution) is what has allowed for the population to explode. The simple fact that we are breeding like rabbits would be causing severe environmental pressure on its own.
Missed this.

I don’t think I understand the question though.

Not to get back into it but what I was driving at is this. How is the distinction made within Climate Change theory between the impact from unnecessary/decadent??? man-made pollution and human population pressure on the environment? Even if 8 billion people are the greenest folk in the universe, 8 billion will be producing more, than at any other time in recorded history, pollution, water usage, soil exhaustion, etc. than the 1 billion that were on the planet as recently as 1804, if for nothing else, out of sheer numbers. I don't know how else to describe it.

I, for one, will state unequivocally that over population of the Globe is a serious matter. Perhaps as serious as any climate changes coming in the near future.

However, the globe itself seems to have methods to "control" us humans numbers. I expect that that will continue in some fashion. Disease, famines, war, inability to reproduce are all issues that could allow for "moderation" of our human numbers.

Not to mention that the rising sea levels might cause enough disruption in the global infrastructure and in human agricultural pursuits to solve the over population issue all by itself! Of course that method would be too slow and VERY threatening for us all.

I promised not to tie in any answers into an agenda and I'll hold to that. This, however, was the kind of enlightened response I was hoping to get...so, thank you, bob.

A) I work for a private company. You couldn’t short the stock if you wanted to. And, god, if you were able to, I would love to be on the other side of that bet because we make so much money it’s obscene.

B) You don’t need me to answer the question. You have google. The last balanced budget is a fact you can find easily.

C) I don’t know who will win. I’m rooting pretty hard for Warren but I’ll vote for whatever Dem gets the nomination.
As I've said before, I think Warren's chances of winning the nomination are almost 0%.

Harris is the same gender, checks a lot of the progressive boxes and, best of all, her DNA results actually prove that she is Jamaican/Indian.
Neither of them stand a chance of beating Trump.

Slavery reparations?

It is a political stunt meant to get extra press coverage. Let me correct myself. It is an effective political stunt that IS getting extra press coverage.

Woe be the candidate that tries to make that the central theme of their campaign. There are so many of us (myself included) that come from families that immigrated to the United States looong after Amendment XIII that it would be insulting.

Your posts illustrate that you're out of touch with reality so I thought you were a disgruntled small business employee. You make like a mil a year, what the heck are you complaining about?

My ancestors weren't even in the US at the time. I don't get it. This is just a way to garner votes.

Two white men...

I wonder if the Democrats would consider a fusion of the center and left. Biden/Warren? At least the identity politics wing of the party gets a nod.
