Goose are you serious? That would mean less business. Not a chance in hell.

They have made it clear that they encourage multiple accounts... I complained about this 12 seasons ago and was essentiallyt told it was a business decision. Since then I have added another account in this world. If they were to change policy again, after I have invested close to $100 on a second account... I would be unbelievably TOd...

This has a huge potential for exchange of information and therefore I think it is a bad idea... Will people exchange information from my different usernames... well of course they will and if WIS didnt realize that befoirehand im sure they do now...

The more thought I put into this, the more that I agree. Scouting services should only be available @ D1. Maybe another option for D2/D3, or even just adding some basic information to evals/calls/letters. This is the best solution, imo.

Something can be done. The practice can be banned. Like it should have been in the first place.
And how are they going to find out? What, are they going to say I can't log in to my friends/brothers account anymore?

One account per credit card. One account per address. Set cookies on a computer that can tell if multiple log ins are coming from the same computer, etc.. There are plenty of ways to do it. If you have roommates at the same address they should be using credit cards with different names on them. Make painful enough to set up multiple accounts that most people won't bother to do it
So what if my wife wants to play? Or my Son? Mrs ibob, the resorters, trojanrose and I'm sure others would be upset. What if you're a pair of early teen brothers, using your fathers CC while he also plays?

Would be so hard to say "my wife uses this account, and my son uses this account"? Honestly, how hard is recruiting in D2/D3? I can't think of the last time I failed to fill out my roster or even use up more than 75% of my buget. Heck I've often walked out of D3 recruiting w/ a handful of top D3 talent and over 50% of my buget over.

Lets face it, if people want to cheat, they can and WIS can probably do little to stop them unless they're dumb about it. I've yet to spot a real issue of this in HD, and is way down on my list of worries. Then again I also have 2 teams in D1 crum. However I've yet to come across a situation where I thought I needed Texas to help out Georgetown on the recruiting trail or vice versa. Game planning? There have been times I've played one team OOC w/ Texas that I matched up w/ in conference w/ Georgetown or in the NT. By the time that rolls around I've often forgotten that I played that team w/ one of my other teams. I really don't know what help an earlier matchup would be anyways. I doubt scouting services are going to help one team much w/ another.

Or we could just wait for the DC and see how things playout before crying wolf that there will be this large scale cheating.

Even though I agree with your stance on the multiple users being restricted, I do think it could open the floodgates for cheating. There does need to be some level of security to 'watch' users with multiple accounts. Since we don't know the $ yet, it's tough to judge. But if the cost to scout a state is much more than 1,000, then I think there is a massive advantage in having 2 teams in a world. Especially if they are in different regions. I would never suggest that you would do it, but in your scenario, what if you find that a local kid in the Texas area really wants to 'leave home.' You purchased the recruiting service for your Texas ID, not your Georgetown team. You decide that you like the guy so much that you recruit him to Georgetown. But you never "PAID" for this knowledge on your Georgetown team. You now have an advantage of knowing for FREE that the player would prefer to leave the area.

My modest proposal to eliminate the chance of collusion:

I'll just scout all states with a free account and post the information in the forums.

Problem solved.

i agree with this-- have long been an advocate of adding complexity from the higher levels down, rather than rolling them all out at once.

for this one, i think i would like it to be supplied info at D-III, then either partially supplied or purchased at D-II, and wholly purchsed at D-I.

I think i joined at the exact right time-- season 13 or so of Naismith/Wooden. There was enough in it to keep me interested, but not too much to make learning easy. And they have been adding things pretty consistently since, mainly to my strong approval. But I can totally see it being really hard to learn as a newb now.

I agree with this, and have long been an adovcate of making things more complex as you move up. This seems like a good opportunity for such an instance.

One thing I'd prefer w/ scouting services, is that you could use them in-season. Perhaps a little bit at a time, let the potential recruiting information slowly roll out to you as you make various scouting attempts.
