Always was, always will be. Why this guy is still in the league is beyond me. Why hasn't someone laid the law down to him yet?

Man it's quieter in here than the Red Wings thread.......The Pens are starting out with the best season starting consecutive road wins streak in team history. Still able to hold on after blowing a 2 goal lead against the 'Canes. Nice to see them staying with the good teams and beating the "weaker" teams like they should.
One could argue that the Islanders are a "weaker" team and we went to the shootout, but they've always been a tough division opponent.

How did Gonchar get hurt?

i did something stupid tonight. i recorded the game on tsn instead of tsn2. so i got the montreal vs. atlanta game. nobody wants to see those two teams play. too bad too, as it sounds like it was a good game. and one of the few penguins games that i get to watch. :{

They looked dominant last night Mike. The first and second periods were about as perfect hockey as can be played. Probably a combination of the Pens playing well and the Blues watching. The third was sloppy, too many giveaways on our end, but the game was pretty much over by then.

ESPN is reporting Gonch is out 4-6 weeks with a broken wrist. Pens will hold a news conference today at 12:30.

that sucks with gonchar out. do we call someone up (if there is someone) to fill the void? make a trade? ride it out (are we scratching any d-men currently that we can put in?). gotta see how this effects the dominant play we've been having. :>
