And this kind of worries me...

Me to Ts! Ortiz and Cepeda are clearly not eligible picks but the commish jumps in and says they are... I just don't get it.

So because The Babe pitched a little in 1930 we can draft him? (I'm saying right now if Babe is draftable then I'm out...)

The lack of consistency is kind of mind-boggling.

(and he was wrong about Delahanty not being listed as an OF)

Rube Marquard (P)

Let's give our commish the benefit of the doubt here. I don't know what he does for a living, maybe it's tough timing for him right now to be online as much as he'd like. I'm sure he'll respond as soon as he can. We're all in this league because we like the idea, so let's try to be positive about keeping it alive. Yes, we need answers.....I completely agree. But bad-mouthing the guy won't get us answers any faster.

Okay, you all are bailing on me, and I can see why. You guys are making correct points, and if I was in your position, I would be angry at the commish too. However, I very much want to continue this league, as I think it is a really interesting idea. The problem I am having is finding time in the day to update this consistently, and answer questions when they are asked, and I'm afraid that will continue.

The only forseeable solution, because continuing like this probably isn't going to work, is for me to step down. I understand that seems like a chump move, but obviously I'm not up to the task of running this thing. If you guys have any other solutions, please help.

The last thing I want to see happen is for this to shut down after so much time trying to start it. I don't want to give up on the league, even if you guys have given up on me.

It sounds like this might be done,...

As some of you know, I've been trying to get owners for my 1901/all-time greats league, but I'd be willing to delay that to re-start this one, with some small changes to improve on dureseam's original idea.

10/28/2009 10:18 PM
ts, I would not be against that, even though you have been my biggest detractor

If you want to take over, hopefully everyone will be okay with that.
10/28/2009 10:23 PM
Not a detractor at all, just trying to make sure we have a good league.

And of course dureseam, you would be more than welcome to sign on as an owner.

I'll post a proposal in the classifieds.

10/28/2009 10:25 PM
So to be clear dureseam, is this officially dead?
10/28/2009 10:36 PM
hold on there tsballgame. Why start all over? We have 24 owners who seem to make picks. Can't you just take this one over?
10/28/2009 10:43 PM
I agree with harrelson, we should keep the original 24 in, as no one has yet.
10/28/2009 10:50 PM
I'd want to start all over again on the available player lists at least, I'm not confident that they're accurate.

The post in the classifieds is just a proposal. If we can salvage things here, and make sure that the player lists are legit, I'd be willing. I've got the time right now.

10/28/2009 10:51 PM
I'll play, but only if we start over.
