Feel like I've become the permanent site-mailer here. Honestly, can't see ever doing any other draft that's totally untimed.

We will be going on the clock starting Monday. You are right that this has been way too slow. We have been able to do it off the clock in the past, but it won't be happening in the future. I have a game to coach tonight so I will be setting up the clock tomorrow.

Are we still going on-the-clock tomorrow? (please, please, please !!!)

I am super fast always and I definitely don't understand the obsession with speed. We will all get to the season eventually no matter what. Don't people have anything else to do???

Yeah, I feel the same. This is the best league on the site. I certainly get annoyed when a couple of the same owners frequently take more than a few hours during non-sleep time to make picks... but not enough to pollute the league with constant complaints about it...

but then again, probably complaining about the complainers is equally bad. So maybe I too should stfu.

Evan did end up getting back to me. He had a family emergency and was out of the country with no service for about a week. I think everything is okay now and his plan is to play next season.

My point is not how long the Draft takes; heck, schedule a Draft where there are 6 picks a day, if that's what you want. Thing with the untimed Draft is the constant checking everyone needs to do because they have zero idea of when they will be up, and then some people get tired of checking because it feels like a waste of time, and they become the hold-up. Regardless, I shouldn't try to impose my wants on a League I haven't played in a long time. (When I said I remembered why, it was because of the untimed Draft that I left.) Different strokes for different folks.

That was my point as well, when I said even 8 picks a day..(a third of what the baseball draft I'm in is doing) that at least with some time guide lines you know for sure when you have to pick. If it comes earlier, great, if not everybody knows when the draft will be finished or at least the timed drafting rounds.
