CAC preview. Season 16. (my 8th at Catholic)

Player of the Year: Michael Castelli (Chestnut Hill). Sophomore Ridinger from Saint Mary's could challenge.

Rookie of the Year: Has it come to this? The rookie of the year could be named Rufus. Pitiful. Either Campbell from CUA or one of Marymount's diaper dandies could edge him, but no one will put up much better than 14 combined PAR.

coach of the year: Time for an upset. Sir_slam edges me out. Just looking for something a little different.

1st team all conference:

PG: My mancrush, David McCann from Goucher.

SG: Joe(l) Horn from York is the favorite here.

SF: Real from York, though if Ledoux gets his mpgs over 22 or so, he takes over.

PF: Two guys deserve mention. Roger Adams from CH and E Wood from Goucher. I'll take Adams, but I really dislike counting on the mindless automaton that is Sim AI.

C: The two POY candidates I mentioned above.

Tourney Bound: CUA (As a 3), York (as a 9), and VJ (as a 10). I'm really nervous about York's RPI after seeing the nonconf.

PIT bound: Baptist and possibly Marymount.

Let's follow up on last year's #4 conference rating. Go CAC!

so how is Salisbury pullin a 5-1 record(almost beat a good team to be 6-0) while running an offense that most of the team is at a D?? good to see my boys Hughes and Winnett doing their job downlow though

Andrew, I'm really nervous about my nonconference RPI, too! Some of the teams I scheduled just did not pan out. And my team has not looked very good. I'll need to pick it up in conference play.

I think they have already started calling for my head at Goucher!! I would say wait till next year but the future isn't bright after back-to-back subpar recruiting seasons.

I see andrew picked me for a possible PIT? Thats just disrespectful (but, when a team beats you twice by 50 each game, that is allowed! - lol)

If I can stay out of the way, this seems to be a certain NT team. They are finally getting into the new offense, so Im hoping for some improved performance and efficiency soon.

I may be begging for PIT tho after the final 4 games - LOL

Generally speaking, if you aren't in the top 50 in RPI, your position is precarious. You need help from last 10 record, record vs top 20.

I guess I was figuring (hoping is more like it) that i would win the final 4 games, so I knew that would give me a nice boost in RPI, and SOS.

Im halfway there, so if I can finish it off, a good CT showing may give me a decent seed. Here's hoping to all that anyway - lol.

A solid one, but winning against one of the other top teams I played in nonconf. would have made it better. All the pressure is on the seniors; anything less of a Final Four will be a disappointing end to some solid careers.

Marymount in this conference deserves the big props for their job. They've outperformed their talent.

Rogue and VJ are borderline NT teams. Here's hoping at least 1 makes it in, representing for the best conference in D3.

Did I mention I'm CAC for life?
