2 more reasons the hawks should not be content just staying as is.... enjoy playing Carter and Richie more often next season.  CBJ adds a huge talent to pair with Nash without giving up anything that will affect then in 2011-12.  The LAK are probably the team to beat in the west now that they have Richie, and they are not done apparently.  Could this be the season they trade Bernier for some big talent in return?  Stastny maybe?

Hawks need to step it up.  Bringing back the same old team is not going to cut it.   Write that down ;)

They will do what they need to do.

I am hearing rumblings of a shocker signing coming from the Hawks...They haven`t been shy about making blockbuster moves under the current regime, and Rocky has the pockets to do it...I remember how shocked I was when Hossa signed after hearing every other team BUT Chicago as being in the running.

The next week or so will tell us how the organization will handle a disappointing season. It`s easy to make moves when you feel you`re close to a cup like they did in 09-10, but this will really test management`s resolve to both build a consistent winner and a stable, healthy franchise, two things not always easy to balance.

In my opinion, alot hinges on Brian Campbell. Could they be considering burying him in the AHL? If it means adding who I think they're targeting, it may be worth it.

There is no way in hell the Hawks pull a Huet on Campbell.  Campbell is a very good player and fits in our system perfectly.  Huet was a suck who can't play Cup contending-level hockey.

Sharp's agent and Bowman had coffee recently and agreed to get together soon and talk more.  That is great news for us.

Yeah, Campbell is not going to the minors.

and Sharp is about to get an extension. So much for Buffalo getting him.

Campbell turned down a trade last night with his NTC.  Apparently he is getting married to a Chicago girl soon and doesn't wanna leave the city.  Too bad for the Hawks ;)

That would have been nice to dump him, but we're still in pretty good shape now that the cap will be $64M.

Ottawa wants Brouwer - hearing he is being shopped.

I heard it's done...Brow for a 2nd rounder.

then if thats the case - there went 261 hits and 17 goals (7 from the PP) .  so much for the physicality approach.

This is just prelude to a bigger move, I hope.

They'd have some 6 picks in the first 85 or so - they could.  we'll see.

Now it's supposedly not done.

Stay tuned for further incorrect statements.
