I'm going to miss Akimov. He scored some big goals for me. Already have a little buyer's remorse.
But I've been obsessed with the idea of trying the offensive defenseman in the Superleague, and Vock is a good guy to try it with. STR>SPD, SP>SA, decent passer and enough stamina to play 23-24 or more minutes/game.
I had a guy named Adolph Marohl in my tourney league. He was like 5'9" 182, BAD attitude. Similar to Vock, but 74-75 overall. 71 SPD, I think 79 STR, 96 or so OFF, 47 DEF; I played him on DP2 and he got over 90 pts in Tier 4. Vock is 6" taller, 22 lbs. heavier and better (but so is the league). I don't expect results like that in the Superleague, but I want to see what he can do. I lost two guys w/125 OFF when I didn't re-sign Zarebski and Iseli. I'm putting him with Terr on the top pair, which will put a 125 OFF on the ice most of the time at 5-on-5. The theory is, I'll get some of the lost offense back another way. Genius or idiot? Check back with me.
