The view through the crystal ball of our yankee coach friend from the north is welcomed news to coach floyd and his band of merry men...err, beavers.

You guys are the best conference, but we have the best team.

Steve and I started the season 103-101 in OT.... might be a fitting finish to end it in the title game.... looks like it would be there before we can cross paths.

wow, I hadn't thought about that.. would be poetic for sure

Apparently thats not happening.

I'd like to nominate Michael Scott for the first class of the NAC HOF. He's the thrid player in conf history to reach the 2,000 point level and he has received conference and national recognition.

I think Scott definitely deserves consideration. There's no denying that he's had an outstanding career. We all know the argument for his achievements, so I figure I'll just point out a couple possible setbacks:

1. Didn't lead Thomas past the 1st Round in the NT
2. Wasn't technically Thomas' best C in his senior season

Just throwing those things out there to hopefully bring forth some debate. I think any player who is going to be considered for the NAC HOF needs to be thoroughly examined by the NAC members. So.. discuss!

While I don't think point one should be anymore than a secondary consideration, the second point you raise does pose some issues. To be a Hall of Famer, you sould be dominant amoung your peer group. However, the ability to dominate within HD is very much controlled by the coach. For instance, creating a balanced scoring team would work to curb individual achievement.

Can the NAC complete the post-season sweep? Stay tuned..

It's kinda sad but if I had actually tried to make Lawton the dominate player his numbers say he is capable of... (and win alot of awards) I am pretty sure we get no-where close to playing for a title. Hopefully he, Russell, and Wright and the other 9 guys on Husson, (who have all been important) will get their reward tonight. Even if it is finishing in the first losers spot 2nd to Rails.
Peace Out

Well, with the conclusion of a phenomenal season for the NAC, I can't help but look at next year. Lets take a moment to soak in the success that was season 26 in the NAC:

Top Conference RPI (0.013 Margin.. substantial)
NT Champion
PIT Champion
#1 RPI Team
#1 Ranked Team
etc..

After pointing out the impressive accomplishments, I think it's time to take a realistic look at next season. Obviously, Salem St.'s superclass was huge in getting the NAC to the top spot on the conference RPI. However, it's easy for teams outside of the NAC to discount some of the other teams who played a crucial role in this season's success. We're not a one-and-done. Don't count on it.

Next season, I think our goal should be to strive for Top 5 in conference RPI. If you crunch the raw numbers (which should be taken with a grain of salt), the Minn. IAC is going to take the top spot by a landslide. I say this having never looked at their teams' returning players.. only looking at what my software tells me. But, my software tells me they're going to be ridiculous, and with the caliber of coaches over there, I believe it. The numbers also tell me that the NAC is around to stay.. no pulling a "Centennial" next year (LOL, I <3 you guys.. rivalries ftw!), we're shooting for Top 5.

Whenever you want to stop playing around in D1, we'd gladly welcome you back. As it turns out, we have an opening.
