Player Improvement Change Topic

I posted earlier that i would love to see bust players as well. Not every player should reach their potential and there is no problem with that, but no player just maxes out and stays there forever. That's where it gets too predictable and then boring because now you have a player sitting here with with 30 or more minutes of practice time with nowhere to put it. Slowing the progression rate may be a decent change, but it will still be predictable. We are only a few seasons into potential and quite a few coaches have the numbers down already to a point where they can be within 10 of the final number. This equals no change from the old system.

So the people who had large recruiting classes this year get a MAJOR boost over people who had a small number of (or no recruits) because they're going cold-turkey. Great.

Christ I'm getting so tired of WIS screwing things up and then making unfair knee-jerk reactions that screw people over as they try to fix their original screw up.

Face it, they don't test worth a crap before they implement things, and I challenge anyone who has played this game for 4 years like I have to prove me wrong.

Just when we got rid of superclasses not anybody who had 6 recruits last year and 6 this year in world I have a huge advantage over anyone the next two seasons.

Lol I love how VK knows exactly how much it is going to slow now and thats why he is so sure that its a "MAJOR boost"

They are still going to max out. The difference is rather then in there SO season they will reach it closer to the JR season. Whoopty do. No matter when they did this (now, 2 seasons from now, 25 seasons) your going to have a group who just came off bigger gains then the next group of FR.

They listened to a lot of their users expressing their unhappiness about something, and they're doing something about it. I don't think they should be criticized for that. I don't know if the end result will be perfect or not, but I take this is a very positive sign.

Maybe I'm reading too heavily into this, but if this is the new way they're going to handle things -- really listening to their customer base, communicating their decisions, etc. -- then for the first time in awhile I'm very hopeful for HD.

Are you going to use your friggin' head for once? If I have 12 maxed out players I can then dedicate an obscene amount of minutes to offensive and defensive practice, while everyone else who did not have large recruiting classes during the breakout "potential" seasons have to put minutes into individual practice.

Don't post "whoopty do" when you're clearly not using your head.

and for the record, any type of slowdown was an unfair advantage to teams that had large recruiting classes.

no waiii, because that is such a huge advantage, right? I mean, IQ is sooooo hard to get to A+ range even with the standard 20 minutes. Yea your right I should have used my head. I never would have thought that such a huge advantage would be caused because of this and this sets off a bunch of players with IQ higher then they should be.

/sarcasm off.

I bet the teams that had a lot of recruits are very happy that they got a free boost compared to those who have large recruiting classes NEXT season.

Looking past the RSF that has been going on for the past page or so.... does anyone know the answer to this:

What does slowing down the rate solve in terms of the fact that "high potential"/"big upside" guys were being capped off even before where a regular player would reach under the old system?

The fact that a "High Potential" player with significant minutes and solid work ethic improves LESS than a regular player under the old system is more bothersome to me than anything.
