DIII - Red Recruit Rankings Topic

sorry about the complications and I have no suggestions, but I wish you would get it figured out red, I have a big incoming class and I'm chomping at the bit to see how they stack up. (kidding aside, sort of) I thought we wouldn't see um anymore because of your little one, who we all hope is doing fantastic, but if you can figure out a way we're all here ready to eat it up.   (mmafioso, thought your post was hilarious)

Thanks lance - always good to hear people are still interested. The little guy (Braeden Chase) is doing great but has made it clear he needs a DIII championship soon from his father.

Quick disclaimer #1: Since I recruited multiple players out of position (a PG that I intend to play at SG / SG that will play SF), I decided to slot my players based on where I intend to play them. Obviously I'm not able to do this for everyone else's players. Time permitting, I may be able to move a handful of guys around from other teams if you give me the heads up on players that you recruited to play outside of their stated position. We'll have to see how it goes - how many changes there are and whether I'll have the time to make the updates.

Quick disclaimer #2: Per my previous post, the new "more robust" forum tool seems to limit my ability to present the ratings as cleanly as in the past. I apologize for the formatting but I've yet to come up with a way to make these display in a layout that’s easy on the eyes.

Lastly, as I've mentioned previously, fatherhood has called and everyone can now rest comfortably knowing that there is finally a succession plan in place at Saint Mary's of Maryland. However, ratings commentary may need to sacrificed in order to teach my new son the finer points of life's most important lessons - recruiting, game planning, and practice plans. If anyone wants to step up and offer some creative commentary/analysis/opinion on the ratings, that would be very much welcomed.

Anyway, let's get these season 43 ratings fired up and published already! Bring on the discussion.

Hey Red, my PG Mauldin (#24 above) was recruited to play SG if you have time to analyze him in that capacity. Also, I am not sure where the C I recruited will play (PF vs C). As it stands, all my big men are Cs. Do you have different ratings for PFs vs Cs. If you do, how did you distinguish between the desired skills at PF vs C?

I wish you a late congratulations on fatherhood!

Hey Red I don't know if you ever do a where are they now study, but My senior sg and C were pretty highly rated by you when I recruited them.  Emery Yates was the number three sg and Cyrus Davis was the number one rated center.  right now they are averaging 20.5 and 18.1 points a game.  Which makes them the 6th and 16th leading scorers in the nation.  there is only one center who is scoring more than Davis.  So I guess that gives some creedance to your formula for what's it worth.
