Accidentally posted a pick before my turn, had to delete it while awaiting Bigjc.  When Ryno listed Steve Barber, I was ready to take McMahon.
So you're saying it was a good pick?
I always feel it was a good pick if someone else had that player on their radar too. Course there is always the possibility that both of you were wrong! :-)

As the draft progresses I have come to the conclusion that I am starting this league at a bad time for me. With 70-80 hour weeks at work right now I haven't the time or energy to do much research. I have resolved myself to just field a team that isn't going to fatigue itself out of contention the first couple of seasons. Talent-wise is another story.

I remember the days of Tony Kubek and Joe Gargiola as commentators. I never cared much for them at the time.
I think we are way overdue for 2 new commentators for the World Series. I didn't watch much of it this year but when I did Buck and McCarver drove me nuts to the point that I eventually had to turn the volume on mute. Does McCarver really think that baseball fans that watched the WS really needs to have every F'in thing that happens analyzed to the Nth degree? Here's some news for you McCarver... People that watch the WS that aren't baseball fans don't really care and those of us that do don't need you to tell us what we already know!!
My two favorite McCarver quotes of the ws this year:

"Runners on 2nd and 3rd, no one out. Which is of course harder for a pitcher than runners on 2nd and 3rd with 1 out, or 2 outs."

"Molina is one of the best in the league at picking runners off. He had 39 during the season, in his career."

Yep.  I hadn't noticed him until getting your proxy list with his name earlier. When I looked up his stats, he seemed like a better choice than the players I'd been scouting.  Didn't seem fair for me to draft him myself though before letting the owner from the proxy list have his shot.
