Alrighty, just finished up the season for Grand Theft Motto, unded up with 1,053 SB and 198 CS (855 net) and a record of 99-63. Going to put in one more team to try this again, but thinking I got pretty lucky with only having about half of the teams in my league having A+ arms, and a good number having C's or D's.

Created and entered a new SB team on Friday. Excited about a couple tweaks I made to the last team. Looks like I ended up if a fairly good division and league for catcher arms...aaaand the league took just long enough to fill that the regular season won't end until 1/2...FML

You could still hit 90 wins and pass the current Net SB total before 12/31... sucks you lose a few games of stats, but it's still possible

I've got a couple of open league teams that are in progress that will be eye-balling the errors mark. Still a long way to go in each.

nice! Not counting my failed error/HR combo team, my three error attempts ended with 88, 87, and 85 wins. I've been going the wrong way in each of them. Successively had fewer errors with each and fewer wins, as well.

It's early yet, but GTM III is off to a 6-3 start with 51 net SB, which puts us on pace for 884 net SB through 156 games (through 12/31) and 104 wins. Obviously that means nothing, still haven't faced an A+ arm through the first 3 series, but gives me hope!

Update on GTM III through 20 games. Think I got a realistic shot at chargingryno's stolen base record. The 3 teams in my division have Mike Piazza (D+ arm), Mike Piazza (D- arm) and AJ Pierzyski (D- arm). About to face my first A+ arm of the season, but it is an interleague game. Yet to see an A+ arm in my league yet. Through 20 games, the squad is 15-5 with 174 SB and 13 CS (161 net). That extrapolates out to 1,409 total stolen bases and 1,304 net stolen bases. Obviously still early, but the stars have seemed to align with my division for a run at the record.

Mid-season check in on Grand Theft Motto III:

Surprisingly consistent pace through 81 games. Only 1 A+ arm in my league, played an additional 2-3 in interleague so far. At the 81-game mark, the squad has 703 stolen bases to 70 CS for 633 net, with a 53-28 record. Puts us on pace for 1,406 stolen bases and 1,266 net. I've had two games with 23 stolen bases, just off the 2nd and 3rd place record of 24, and 3 behind chargingryno's record of 26. On the flip side, the 1,406 pace for the season compares favorably to chargingryno's season record of 1,271. Hope my guys don't get tired in the second half!

One pivot to this team that is working out really nicely is a platoon of '85 Davey Lopes and '74 Larry Lintz at 3B. Combined they cost $4.08M, and they have combined for 83 SB at the halfway point.

Looking forward to seeing if the team can seal the deal on the back half of the season!

With 13 games left, I just hit 90 wins. I currently have 236 errors. I'm leading a close divisional race, so I can't pile on any extras just yet.

I have realized that my current SB team might make its way into the running for errors as well. Through 116 games we've got 206 errors, on pace for 287 errors on the season. Also up to 71 wins through 116 games, so might be in a nice position to play a bunch of guys out of position if we can get those last 19 wins in a hurry.
